  Another few Laura Laura Laura moments for me watching this, as she appeared a bit nervous at times in her play at least, and she had more than enough chances to see off Kanepi, but losing that first set in the tiebreaker I think killed off a bit of her spirit.
  Still not bad for a 19 year old is it, I dare say a major title will be hers shortly as she has the game, just needs more focus and consistency and that killer instinct to put away the crucial points.
  Still, she shouldn't feel too bad, after all the number 1 seed went out as well lol...

  lol, she certainly is pleasant on the eye... and the shock of the day and for Serena...
  Earlier in the day there was murmurings of putting a bet onto Lisicki which I had a small wager on, and was absolutely delighted when she polished off that 3rd set, although the way Serena charged back in the 2nd set, I was thinking, here we go, pack your bags Sabine... but fair do to the girl, she fought hard and it paid off.
  Serena though didn't look like the killing machine we recognise, maybe a rare offish day, but Lisicki deserves her win. Lets hope she can see off Kanepi today...
  
  That pretty much opens up the Women's title now, Radwanska must have been doing cartwheels yesterday when she heard the news lol...
  They'll all be fighting hard today in the quarters that's for sure...

  First up on centre today is Radwanska vs Li Na and although Aggie is seeded 4 (the highest now left in) and Na 6, Na is the favourite for the match, as Aggie has not been on her best form so far... but I think she may have the beating of Na today, and am expecting an exciting 3 set match.
  
  On court 1 there's new favourite for the title girl (now about 5/2, from 25/1 yesterday lol), Sabine Lisicki (seeded 23) vs Kanepi and Lisicki is 1/3 on to take this, based on yesterdays matches, she should have this in 2 sets? but wouldn't bet my house on it lol...
  
  
  
  EDIT: lol, as I was saying this, Na just breaks Aggies first service game to love, oh well, but what's this, she then breaks back to love straight away.... Mmmmm maybe nerves from both to start !!!

  Lisicki has an easy 6-3, 6-3 win over Kanepi, no real surprise there and she will now play Aggie Radwanska who has just seen of Li Na 7-6, 4-6, 6-2... That will be a very interesting match up,
  
  Marion Bartoli and Sloane Stephens started their match on court 1 and with Bartoli 5-4 up in the first, down came the rain... This one is a good match up, but I think Stephens may just take it.
  
  Onto centre court now walks Petra Kvitova and Kirsten Flipkens, seed 8 vs seed 20, this pair are 1-1 head to head so I feel another 3 set match for this one.

  Well that was an interesting day, with Lisicki to play Radwanksa and Bartoli who saw off Sloane Stephens in straight sets to play Belgian Kirsten Flipkens who saw off a slightly under the weather Kvitova...
  If you had guessed that line up before Wimbledon started, apart from being told you're crazy lol, it would be a mega payout....
  
  Now for the men and first up on centre is 4th seed David Ferrer and 8th seed Juan Martin Del Potro. Head to head it's 6-2 to Ferrer and he's won the last 4 meetings but Del Potro has the better record so far in the tournament, however there is a question over his knee at the moment, so a Ferrer win is looking most likely, maybe a 4 set match.
  
  First up on court 1 is Novak Djokovic and 7th seed Tomas Berdych. Head to head it's a massive 13-2 to Djokovic and has been crushing his opponents so far while Berdych has struggled a bit, so I'm seeing no reason why Djokovic can't go through by another 3-0 margin here...

  Them Murray v Verdasco at 4pm. How many sets you think that'll go to Russy?

  Yep, after that Murray vs unseeded Fernando Verdasco on centre. The head to head here is 8-2 to Murray although the last time they met was 2009. Verdasco has won his last 3 matches 3-0 and Murray all his to the same. Verdasco's a leftie and Murray has an impressive win ratio over lefties (although will be the first one he has faced this year), and apparently he has been practising with another leftie Johan Brunstrom. Murray's obviously the clear favourite, but he could drop a set in this one, so a 3-1 on the cards, if however he is pumped up and fighting ready we'll see a 3-0 to Murray.... saying that now it'll probably go to 5 sets lol :-) Unless you fancy Verdasco here there is no betting value in this match.
  
  
  The last quarter on court 1 will be an all Polish affair with Lukasz Kubot vs 24th seed Jerzy Janowicz and this is the first time this pair has met so no prior data, apart from Kubot is ranked 130 lol... Janowicz is the clear favourite, but expect a 4 or a 5 setter here.
  
  
  So now I've put the mockers on all these players lol, I've put my bets on and await the outcomes....

  So Djokovic and Del Potro both win in straight sets to make it through to the semis.

  A 50% strike rate so far lol, really surprised at Del Potro especially after that first game knee tweak, but his serve and his grit saw him through it.
  I'm not expecting to go any further though.....
