I am of the opinion that any formation can work in any league as long as you have the right personnel for it and it's implemented correctly so yeah I do think it can work -

Sorry, that was what I meant. Can the formation work with the current squad? Like van gaal said himself the squad is kinda unbalanced. They are very short on cb's for that formation too. -

The squad seem to be adapting to it well, the interesting thing has been wingers being converted into either wing backs or strikers. We could definitely do with some more wing/full backs if van Gaal doesn't want to promote the likes of Varela from the youth. CB additions wouldn't hurt but I maintain they aren't necessarily needed even with 3 at the back. M.Keane is fantastic and the likes of Blackett & James have done very well thus far. I would be happy to see Vermaelen come in, I think he'd do a good job at LCB. And of course we need some CM's.
It's important we get some decent wingers in as well though so that we can switch to a 4-3-3 when needed... basically, we could do with additions everywhere bar GK, CAM & ST -

So Young has now played as a striker, right wing back and left wing back in each game. Interesting.

Is Ashley Young good enough to play for the mighty Manchester United?? I mean he was class at Aston Villa, but under Van Gaal surely his time will be up? He dives and cheats to win, hes lazy, he tries too many tricks which dont come off and sometimes his deliver is lacking...
Any opinions?? Does he deserve to stay at Manchester United?? -

Half time and it's 0-0. Been an ok game, both teams have canceled each other out really though i'd say we've easily been the better side. There was one move in particular that was just pure sex on legs, just a shame it didn't end in a goal! Jones is actually playing RCB today with Smalling in the center and I think it's better that way.

He hasn't been good enough for about 3 years now. Though he's definitely more suited to wing back than Nani which is something for him I suppose -

Finished 0-0 and penalties are coming up! We totally dominated Inter who didn't have one shot on goal until like 80 minutes. Ref was awful, didn't give us a blatant penalty and gave free kicks to Inter for fouls that never were. Zaha was really good, Nani came off on 70 mins for Hernandez. Second half side looked like:

And that's it! United win 5-3 on penalties, captain Fletcher with the winning kick! All our penalties were fantastic, right in the corners. Inter's miss came from one of theirs hitting the crossbar, de Gea very nearly saved M'Villa's as well but his save hit the crossbar and bounced in.
Fully deserved win that! -

Naploi's president confirmed earlier that they're interested in Fellaini. Some reports say they want him for £15m, others say they want him on a season long loan. Either way looks like he's off. Cheers Rafa!
