Somehow i'm still awake so i've decided to stay up for the Galaxy game in half hour. Line ups just announced:
de Gea, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Valencia, Fletcher ©, Herrera, Shaw, Mata, Welbeck, Rooney. A 3-5-2, I assume we'll line up like:

Half time and it's 3-0 to United! Really nice football being played here, no more slow paced passing it round the back bullshit! Welbeck & Rooney x2 with the goals. Mata & Herrera have been fantastic! David who? -

Fell asleep at around 70 mins! Bloody knackered was I!
Anyway, second half had a tonne of changes, turned into:

Atleast I think Herrera was at #10, he certainly seemed more forward than Kagawa from what I saw but I was battling falling asleep at the time! And yes, that is Nani & Young up top!
Finished 7-0 in the end, James x2 (fantastic finisher for a defender!) & Young x2 with the second half goals. Really pleased with how things went, loving the new formation and van Gaal pretty much confirmed in a post match interview 3-5-2 will be our main formation going forward.
Bring on Roma!

Haha indeed! The difference between this year & last year is ridiculous, so much more confidence and (most importantly) the belief in ourselves seems to have returned. Last nights game was a joy to see. Quick, one touch passing, attacking minded, everybody actually wanting the ball, Mata flourishing in his natural position, Herrera & Shaw fitting in instantly (Herrera even being MOTM), Jones & Smalling actually playing in CD, James scoring on his senior debut etc etc.
Yeah sure it was only Galaxy but it's exciting to see everything going so well :D

Apparently at the start of pre season in Manchester all the players were told one Friday that they didn't have to turn up the next day if they didn't want to. The message being that they should turn up if they want to be treated seriously. One player didn't show up - Wilfried Zaha.
The lad is pissing his career away, such a waste of talent. -

Half time and it's 3-0 United! Rooney x2 & Mata with the goals. Rooney's first goal was sublime, then he makes a fap-tastic assist for Mata's goal (Mata's finish wasn't bad either!) and he ends by scoring another fantastic penalty. Well in Wayne! -

Full time and it's finished 3-2 to United. Pjanic scored from the half way line & Totti scored a penalty. Second half line up looked like:

That was some technique on that goal from halfway, he hit so clean, even still the keeper was terrible and should never get beat from there. Do you reckon formation will work in prem?
