Half time and it's 2-1 to United! We've been absolutely fantastic, complete domination! Young x2 and Bale (pen) with the goals. Our passing has been near perfect be it short pass & move or long balls from flank to flank. Our first goal for instance had 20 passes with only de Gea & Mata not touching the ball. Young has actually looked pretty good aswell! We've played with so much confidence.
Only downside was Welbeck coming off injured at around 40 mins. Zaha replaced him.
Oh, and there's a record breaking (for football in America) 109,000 at the stadium. For a friendly! -

Ronaldo came on at about 75 mins. Really great result here and fully deserved too! Now we play either Liverpool or City in the final of this friendly tournament thing on Monday. Gonna be an interesting one! -

So it's confirmed we play Liverpool tomorrow and it's on Sky Sports 1 for those interested. Gonna be an interesting one! Neither side is going to want to lose this even if it is a friendly (especially with a trophy at the end of it!). Will be funny seeing how the American fan bases react to each other as well! -

Half time and it's 1-0 to Liverpool. Gerrard scored a penalty. It's been a very even game thus far, Liverpool's defence has been solid and they've pressed heavily which has made us play the ball backwards more than we have in any other pre season game thus far. We definitely don't deserve to be one down and the penalty was actually debatable. On initial viewing it looked stonewall but having seen it from another angle you can see Jones actually won the ball.
Young has been fantastic, Shaw came on for Valencia after about 10 mins due to injury and has also been great. Overall i'd say we've missed Welbeck massively. Hernandez has been very poor, he even missed a sitter in the opening 5 mins. I think he's a cert to be sold now.
Still, onwards and upwards!
Oh, and bloody Yanks had a fireworks display on the bloody pitch just as the teams were walking out which lead to smoke filling the stadium for half a century. They're having another one right now as I type for half time. *facepalm* -

Full time and United have turned it around to win 3-1! Rooney, Mata & Lingard with the second half goals. As soon as we got the equaliser we got our confidence back and played infinitely better than the first half. Young was MotM for me, notable performances from Shaw & Smalling too. Sterling was Liverpool's best player for me.

We scored 16 goals and conceded just 4. Better yet, of those four goals we conceded all tour, three were penalties and one was from the half way line. That's pretty damn good! -

They look so much better than last season already. A few big differences are the energy and passing in midfield and having three in there so they don't get overrun. Rooney will always be better with a partner and this formation is perfect for him. The defence should get a run of games together now ferdinand and vidic don't have to be rotated every game, which will be massive. Mata, rooney and rvp in same team means lots of goals too. -

The defensive line up was never inconsistent because of Rio & Vidic being rotated, it was inconsistent because our CB's always get injured! Expect to see the same amount of "rotation" this season but with M.Keane & Blackett (and potentially James & Thorpe) instead of Rio & Vidic.
