Lads, I've been looking at how the knockout stages might pan out, and you'll be pleased to hear that
All we need is for the groups on our side of the draw to finish like this...
E: Brazil, Serbia
F: Mexico, Germany
G: Belgium, England
H: Japan, Colombia
...and we'll be playing Japan in the second round, followed by the winners of Serbia v Mexico in the quarters. A semi against Spain or Argentina then Brazil in the final might be a bit trickier, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Course, there's every chance Belgium will have looked at this as well. That last group game could be interesting... -

I was impressed with Iran despite their loss. They were defending well but what I liked most was as soon as they conceded they changed tactics. It seems a simple concept but quite a lot of teams that sit back don't change quickly when they concede, so credit has to go to Quieroz who had probably been working on different game scenarios. Probably should have got something out of the game but I think they will cause Portugal problems. Portugal are pretty rubbish and far to reliant on Ronaldo so I wouldn't be surprised to see Iran cause an upset. -

That man gets extra points for deciding to fuck about in the last minute, with Iran 1-0 down and on the verge of exiting the tournament.

Well Neymar Jr got a goal earlier so there will be 10000 kids getting a meal just pray for their sake it is not a vegetarian/vegan meal as if I received that as a starving child would rather eat another starving child than that!
