England forward Harry Kane is to be rested by manager Gareth Southgate for Tuesday's friendly against Switzerland.

The Tottenham striker, 25, who scored six goals and won the Golden Boot at the World Cup in the summer, has started 61 matches in all competitions since the start of last season.

"I thought this is a good opportunity to do it," Southgate said.

Kane's Spurs team-mate Dele Alli has withdrawn from the squad with a minor muscle strain.

Fuck off Kane.We was doing all right till he came on.Average performance going along nicely and instead of resting Kane like he said he was going to do.He fucking brings him on in case he cried.
