  Not sold on it.  It breaks up the flow of the game and I can see it being used tactically to stop the opositions momentum in a game.
  
  Their playing well, flowing up and down the field.  Let's all bug the referee a bit more than usual to and try to get a VAR decision on something.
  
  
  I'll admit it does work quite well in Rugby, but that's far more of a go, stop, go, stop game than football.  I do have concerns about it destroying the pace of the game and making it as slow as the women's game is.

  I heard that and then heard the commentator say ball is back with the ball boy behind the goal and Lawro ask if the gentleman was still in the ground? Gotta love him really but as an ex Brighton player then I have to as he was a good player and our record transfer received till I think Leo Ulloa went to Leicester for £7-10m.

  I have loved Slaven Bilic this tournament. His complete and utter apathy to most things the English media ramble on about is great. He laid ITV last week for focusing on the negatives of England's past but he went above and beyond yesterday with his "To be fair, I don't care" comment when discussing VAR. He's a breath of fresh air.
  
  I thought England looked good for the first 15-20 minutes but after that we weren't that good.

  Probably could have done with a bit more VAR last night, to pick up on the earlier point.  Some of those challenges on Kane were ridiculous, especially when compared to what was actually given as a penalty.
  
  After 20 minutes I was half ready to book Monday 16th July off work for the victory parade, and half convinced that we'd somehow manage to balls it up and come away with a draw.  The latter really is what tends to happen, so the win is much appreciated.

  When it comes to the France v Australia match, the big question has to be, why was the Australian player(I forget his name) booked, for the France penalty, when Umititi wasn't booked, for the Australia penalty

  Going back to Bilic was the best moment so far especially watching think it was Wrighty pissing himself laughing, and the pundit next to him. Yes VAR and the refereeing is a bit hit and miss but then when is it not to be honest? Clattenburg has even added a bit to it didn't realise he was so Geordie! Good Bilic in the studio for Poland v Senegal.
