  Djokovic takes the first set 7-5 with a break game that Del Potro should have won. and now in the second it was going with serve until Del Potro breaks the 7th game, and holds the 8th to take a 5-3 lead. Del Potro's knee and agility look Ok at the moment, so a battle of the big hitters continue.
  
  I'm not sure what Murray's odds were this morning, I want to say 5/2 but wouldn't swear to it. I did see a Djokovic v Murray final was only evens!
  
  EDIT: just looked; Murray's at 2/1 while Djokovic is 8/11 for the title.

  I'm glad I said that Djokovic would want the second semi final to go all the way lol... after just being triumphant over Del Potro 7-5, 4-6, 7-6, 6-7 & 6-3 in what was an excellent game and well worthy of a semi final match up, I bet it's now Murray thinking... 'If I can get rid of this Polish fella in 3 or even 4 I'll have the edge'... and vice versa for Janowicz...
  Also whatever meds Del Potro took to get him going, then I want some, as they seemed to do the job magnificiently.
  
  If the second semi is as entertaining, then todays ticket holders sure got their moneys worth.

  So the second semi started a lot later than either Murray or Janowicz would have initially thought after that first 5 setter and with a tight first set, Janowicz took the tie break to give him a lead. But then he seemed to step off the gas in the second as Murray takes that and then the third by 6-4.
  Then they decide to go and suspend play while they close the roof, after Janowicz had been moaning about the light and the roof for a while, and this was something Murray was not particularly happy about. But the break didn't seem to stop him as took the fourth 6-3 and set up a final between the top two seeds...
  It was a tale of the stats here, where Janowicz had been out aceing everyone, here Murray had 20 to the Pole's 9 and Janowicz had 11 double faults and Murray only 1.
  Murray has to be fancying his chances now, we could finally get a British winner after 77 years......
  But well done also to Janowicz, he's a name you will hear a lot of in the future it seems.

  Wimbledon Women's Final and it's Sabine Lisicki vs Marion Bartoli, honestly lol...
  Their head to head is 3-1 to Lisicki but 1-1 on grass, both played here at Wimbledon. This is Lisicki's first Grand Slam final while Bartoli was runner up here in 2007. So they seem evenly matched, even though Bartoli is the only player who has won all her prior matches 2-0, Lisicki did have to see off Serena and Radwanska, and that just might swing it in her favour.
  It should be a close one and 3 sets looks to be on the cards... C'mon Sabine, you can do it, I'd rather see your face in the papers tomorrow than Bartoli's lol...

  I'm not the world's biggest tennis fan but I can honestly say that I'd not heard of either of them prior to the tournament.
  
  But as you say, Lisicki's not too bad to look at...

  Maybe Sabina should have thrown a Lisicki, groan! great legs though, head crushing thighs and an arse to rival Paige Turnah! the other girl im not sure about, She looks no stranger to a night out with Arthur Guinness! and she walks like shes got a set of nadgers tucked into her gusset, but hey who am I to be fussy, id fuck Russy if he had a blonde wig on!

  Well Sabine said it herself, that the pressure just seemed to get to her, and after a crushing 6-1 30 minute first set Bartoli had an extra spring in her step (and jumps), while Lisicki wanted to burst into tears.
  A spirited fight back by Sabine in the second set must have had Bartoli thinking, but she managed to serve it out with an ace and take the set 6-4, and be crowned Women's Champion for the first time, on her 47th Grand Slam appearance.
  Not the final I was expecting but one that will be remembered for a while, if only for the contestants who battled it out.
  
  I don't think the Men's final tomorrow will be such an easy task...

  I really felt sorry for Lisicki, the final just got to her. She needs to control her emotions, but I think she'll be a Grand Slam winner one day.

  MENS FINAL DAY and #1 Novak Djokovic vs #2 Andy Murray, they were expected to get to the final, but the way they did and who they played was a bit screwy.
  Head to head it's 11-7 to Novak, and he has won their last 3 although the only time on grass was last years Olympics and Murray won that.
  Murray's reached the last 4 Grand Slam finals, while Djokovic only 2, but facing Murray both times and winning 1 and losing 1. So we know both these players can play, have experience and can last 5 sets if it's needed.
  Djokovic had that very long 5 set semi while Murray had an 'easier' 4 setter, so will this tell today?
  
  If Murray wants this one, he needs to keep his composure and not give away silly points. Another 5 setter could be on the cards, so who has the better physical and mental strength should get their name on the trophy...

  Took him an hour to do it though. Brutal, gruelling tennis so far (in a good way).
