  Nadal's looking good as he did at Cincinnati but can his knee problem hold out for the tournament. As for Federer, Djokovic and Murray, well they haven't been on their top game, if they fire here it will be an exceptional tournament, but I have a hunch it may be a bit of a let down. If Nadal remains fit, I can see him taking this one.

  the knees won't be a problem for him unless he does something out of the ordinary. the main problem is switching from clay to grass puts a massive strain on them.

  After a long wait yesterday because of rain delays Murray finally made it to court to face Michael Llodra and dispatched him easily enough 6-2, 6-4, 6-3 at about 4.30 am this morning and will face Argentina's Leonardo Mayer on Friday. ... I'd like to say I watched all of it but several cat naps were taken through the match lol, and I am fucked now..
  
  Prior to Murray's match Del Potro eventually won in 4 sets against Garcia-Lopez of Spain, where there seemed to be a bit of aggro between the two over how much 'medical' attention Garcia-Lopez was receiving, but after the outburst the Argentinian set to work and took the 4th set in a tie break to win 6-3, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6.
  
  Also Laura Robson (seeded 30th for this event) made it to R3 after seeing off France's Caroline Garcia 6-4.7-6 and coming back from a break down in that second set to save the set at 5-6, it was also the easiest tenner I made this week as the odds wee quite ridiculous considering her opponent, although Garcia played quite well, one to watch out for. Laura will now play Li Na, and she already knows how to best her, can she do it again.
  
  Venus Williams didn't fair so well though losing to China's Jie Zheng 3-6, 6-2, 6-7 after a tough 3 hour R2 match and an exciting 3rd set where she came back from breaks down to level the score but eventually lost the tie break.

  laura robson is gonna have a real tough match with li na. she is serving really well so far, so it's gonna be tough for her to get into li na's servive games. with robson it all depends about her consistency.

  Didn't Dan Evans do well yesterday beating Bernard Tomic in 4 sets (1-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3) and he did it in some style as well to reach the third round and a date with Spain's Tommy Robredo who will be a much tougher match than Tomic. Dan also ensures a £60 grand pick up for reaching R3, not bad is it...
  
  Federer also breezed past Carlos Berlocq 3,2 & 1 in 3 sets and could be Dan's next opponent should he beat Robredo...
  
  Nadal also saw off Brazilian Dutra Da Silva 2,1 & 0 so no upsets yet for any of the top seeds.
  
  A couple of fallers from the ladies, Sara Errani seeded 4th falling to Italy's Pennetta 3-6, 1-6, and other seeds Vesnina (22nd) and Cirstea (19th) losing out as well.
  
  
  For today, Laura Robson will be first up against Li Na on Arthur Ashe so that's one to watch with Robson around 4/1 if you want a punt... Djokovic vs Ben Becker follows that match, not expecting any issues there, Nole in 3 sets it should be...
  
  You'll have to wait for later in the day to see Andy Murray vs Leonardo Mayer as they are 3rd up on Louis Armstrong, again expecting a 3 setter there...

  evans beating tomic wasn't a huge shock because he is very erractic in his form. i can't see him beating robredo, he's too solid and doesn't give much away. the error count from evans will be massive.

  That's Laura Robson's US Open over and done with after just losing to Li Na 2-6, 5-7.. She had some chances but wasn't playing her A game today so no R4 for her this year.
  All up to the boys now...

  yeah her forehand was way off and li na was too solid for her in the end. i think it will be a simiar story for evans against robredo. murray should cruise through to the quarters where it will start getting tougher.

  After having to save a couple of set points in the first set Djokovic fairly waltzed through his match 7-6, 6-2, 6-2 to oust Benjamin Becker and he will now face Joao Sousa of Portugal in R3 after he beat Jarko Nieminen in 5 sets. That's another 3 setter for me...
  
  Andy Murray is now playing and he's not having his own way against Argentinian Leonardo Mayer, but despite that he has just taken the first set 7-5. I don't think Mayer can keep this level up to task Murray over a longer time, so now he's got the first set under his belt, I am expecting Murray to still do it in 3.

  Sometimes I think Murray loses a set on purpose, just so he can get fired up again, but in this case Leonardo Mayer was playing brilliantly... After that first set he savaged Mayer to win the 2nd 6-1, then in the 3rd it all went awry as he eventually lost it 3-6 as Mayer was hitting hard as if his life depended on it, but it took too much out of him as Murray then upped his game and the 4th set sailed by 6-1... Maybe it was the Louis Armstrong court as tis is not his favoured court to play his game, but better to get some leg stretching now rather than have to do it later..
  He'll now face another Mayer, Florian this time from Germany as he beat the American Donald Young in straight sets...
