Stargate and Supernatural would make great games.
In the case of Stargate you have the film and all those years of series and mythology to use, they wouldn`t even necceserally have to use a story from the series with how big the mythology is.
Supernatural, maybe if it generally followed the series, but let you free roam and decide what side cases to take yourself,
there would even be a load of possibilities of introducing new monsters entirely, or they could even just do a prequel game series where you can be john winchester or one of the other older hunters show that side of it.
Anybody else agree, or like certain series they think would transfer well to games?
alias or nakita
he's said alias about 3 or 4 times now, and i've already told him it had a game.
nikita could be good, but it would be pretty similar to multiple other games

wouldn't neccessarly be bad, just wouldn't stand out from the crowd much.

exactly, you could pretty much take one of a multitude of games already out there, change some names and character models and there's you nikita game. possibly the splinter cell games, although i've not played the most recent ones, but i seem to remember they've had a story of highly trained spy going against old boss and there's quite a few others as well

Fringe would make an interesting game, not sure what action that could have though.

true, but just imagine all the forests that would have to be cut down to make just one copy of a the game guide for a fringe game! it would easily be the most confusing game to play lol
another game that would be kind of cool, but would suffer the same problem of not standing out from all the other similar games would be the program strike back.

strike back would suffer the same problem yeah, wouldn`t stand out,
i`ve noticed they haven`t made many games out of series lately,
which is odd, because a few years back they released quite a few for the ps2,
and some of the programs on tv now would make good games if they were done with effort and not rushed out.

i think that's the problem though, a tv series gets to a certain level of popularity, so a game is made, and it's rushed out so that it can be on the shelves while the program is still at it's height, so some people buy it and then the program ends or takes a turn for the crap and suddenly the game is no longer selling because it was rubbish and the only reason anyone bought it was because they were fans of the show. and that's probably why they don't do it anymore, as games companys/tv execs have realised what happens.
and i think as far as solving the problem by making a good game, well good games take quite a while to make so they would either need to begin on it when the program first airs with the hope that it will be a popular series, or they wait for the series to get big and start making it then in which case the game risks not coming out until after the program has finished and is no longer popular

exactly i think both tv and game execs view it as too big of a risk, with the exception of big franchises that have been around for years and already proven their popularity, although you only need play a superman game to realise that still doesn't mean you'll get a good game.

because to do a superman game true to character you have to make him pretty much unkillable, and if they tone his abilities down to make it harder to play, then fans of superman won`t like it.
