Yea we got a point from the Emirates earlier this season and deserved more. Still, id have taken the point anyway :P
Very decent effort by the Soton keeper ;) And yea, as they said on MOTD last night, the keeper situation for England is looking great :D Long may it continue.
Hope you spank W Ham.. would much rather see your lot there than them idiots.
Mental season? You aint wrong there :P -

I feel compelled to say, despite being an Arsenal fan, I just love the football Southampton have been playing lately. Six clean sheets in a row! Wow, that's my kind of football. I don't like "wet patches"! I like clean sheets and 1-0 wins! Play based on a rock solid defense! If you don't concede a goal, you're never going to lose a game. I find it refreshing to see a team perform with such logical play. As a result of this good run of form Southampton are now sixth in the Premier League and looking good!
Defensive organization, you know it makes sense Ronald :) -

All set for another record season then!
Last 3 campaigns have been getting progressively better, but it sort of feels like each one isn't as big of an achievement as the one before.

No surprise here but well deserved
A management consultant ranked Premiership football clubs on how well they’re run — here’s how they did
Southampton is the most well managed team in the Premier League, according to findings by consultancy firm Organizational Maturity Services (OMS).
Each Premiership club was ranked based on "its leadership, management quality and capability for creating sustainable value; not only with respect to its players but from all human capital."
The report said that Southampton won out for being driven by core football values, and that it was a club "where people are viewed as a source of value and not just as a cost."
However the report stressed that Southampton "A" rating meant there was still room for improvement.
It added that despite its massive wealth, Manchester United — the wealthiest club in the league — was an example of "management incoherence" as global branding had become its "core focus."
While Arsenal came high on the list, it was also criticised for becoming too embedded in "[Manager Arsene] Wenger's narrative and approach," leaving the club at great risk if and when he departs.
Leicester City FC only came 13th on the list despite its shock Premiership win, but the report still gave credit to the club for not taking unnecessary risks and adopting "accurate methods of predicting and planning" for the future.
Here's a look at where each team ranked:

Fan engagement was a major factor in the rankings, with Swansea praised for having fan representation at board level. The report also encouraged teams to cultivate talent at a youth level rather than relying too much on "external hires."
Ownership motivations were also crucial to a club's overall well-being — "financial opportunist" owners and a "brand managers" put clubs in bad stead against owners who wanted to create long-term value.
Southampton's strong club management seems to have paid off this season — it's currently seventh in the Premier League, above both Liverpool and Chelsea -

Interesting stuff.
Also no surprise to see Newcastle and Villa in the last two positions. -

Cheers Goons, it's been a properly unbelievable season. And to better the previous one, after another summer of upheaval makes it all the more remarkable. Ronald Koeman is god!
The best bit is that I'm actually going in to this summer feeling pretty optimistic. It's likely that we'll lose Wanyama now he's in to the last 12 months of his contract, but I don't think he'd be as difficult to replace as Schneiderlin or Alderweireld were last year. Mane's gonna be getting linked with moves away again too, especially on the back of his recent form, but he's got 2 years left on his deal so we could/should get at least another season out of him. They're the only two with question marks hanging over them though, so whatever happens we're in for a relatively peaceful few months.
But maybe, just maybe, they'll look at how awesome we've been lately, be happy with European football next season and decide to sign new deals, along with Koeman. Then we continue our 2016 form in to the next campaign and do a Leicester. Sounds good to me...
One last thing, all this talk of Koeman to Everton. Wouldn't that be a massive step backwards? -

Betting suspended on Koeman joining Everton. FFS.
Talk of £100m+ for him to spend on new players, but he'd need more than that to get the squad up to Southampton standards, right? Especially if Lukaku and Stones go this summer.
And why would he give up European football?
Might be the £7m a year contract I guess, we *only* offered £2.5m...
I'll stay cautiously optimistic until it's actually confirmed, but it's not looking good.
