If mistakes happen then mods / admins can move posts and even combine threads, that's how it works in other forums. It keeps things tidy and lets the posters know. Easy peasy.
Even friendly advice from other posters can work if people really want to participate and run the forum in a more proper manner.
Supposedly being new in a forum is not an excuse for rubbish, as I said above, if you can work a computer, you must have some sense, if there are things you are unsure of, ask, use search facility or pm, I have, it works, it's friendly and no mess.

Personally i couldn't care less who becomes a mod/admin on the forum(more the merrier i say ), the forum just needs more of them to cover the damn spammers on here ( one has made at least 15 posts around the site )( which no doult has been reported by others on here and by me ) with more to cover the forum spammers wouldn't be able to make more then 1 post before getting banned and enforce the rules on idiots posting in the wrong sections, time and time again i see the same posts over and over again asking the same silly questions when all you need to do is have a look at the posts made in the past asking the question, but no, post a new thread ask the same question and wonder why most don't get answered.
I've even had new members PM me asking me "how do i post pictures on the site"

who says spammers don't get irony, spamming in the rant section where we complain about them, this is beyond a joke today, how many different names have there been but all spamming the same shit? 6 or so, I lost count after reporting so many of them.
There has to be a more full time mod here now to deal with these. I mean just look at their names when they register, you can virtually guess they will become spammers, in fact why don't we start a game called guess the spammer?

Somebody, somewhere, has it in for Rampant, and they are just taking the piss.
What are the moerators doing about this? Can't somebody get rid of these spammers? -

theres only two working admins at the mo as i am not doing it at the mo just poped on to see whats going on . i think fmr and dvivous are always working hard on the site as a whole -

mate, they need someone to fill your boots as it were while you're not around as much, cause it's stupid how much spam is being posted.
back when you were around more even if there was a spate of spammers they'd get removed within a few mins, but there's guys on here at the moment that have been here for days posting spam and nothings being done about it.
there's guys with 10 or 20 posts all of them spam in many different threads. I've lost count of how many posts i've reported, and there's at least 4 members currently on the site posting spam all the time.
as i said it's nothing against you mate, if anything it proves what a good job you used to do, but the other mods/admins need to get another admin as they are obviously not capable of keeping the site spam free.
i'm pretty sure if you look through all the recent posts/todays posts the vast majority of them are spam -

i'm only guessing but i can't see it being any more complicated than a few clicks per spammer, only admins/mods will ever get the power to do it though, and it's been suggested over and over again that the forum needs another one if not more, in fact there was a thread started about it and my name was put forward and i've said plenty of times i would gladly do it if it meant stopping the spam that's ironically been rampant on the forum but they don't seem to care about it or at least they don't care about doing anything about it in a timely manor -
