Normally you just banned the username and the email address they are using to spam with, if you notice the spammers using the same sort of email address ie @whatever.co etc ......you can banned that also ;)

it only takes seconds to do so ;)

it is a pity mate you're not doing it, as it has gone bloody mental now.. Come on admins, it gone way beyond a joke now, if you can't cope, please get another mod involved. There are plenty of us here who would do it for you, all we want is to be spam free, the other idiots we can leave to you lot to deal with..

As has been said, it's a shame you're not still doing this, as when you were, things seemed to get done a lot faster than they do now.

Fmr and dvious have not been logged on since around 11am so they are not on here that much. However, a lot of today's spammers started well before that time and nothing was done about them. Why not?? All you have to do is cllck on 'View Today's Posts' and it is so obvious if there have been any spammers.

If they can't/won't deal with the situation, they should get extra mods/admins on here to help them

exactly, i mean FMR and dVIOUS are most likely busy with other things, and that's fine, but don't just ignore it, if they are busy then get in more mods!

as oilman said apparently dVIOUS and FMR have logged in since this spate of spamming started and so one would assume they would have seen what can only be the tens of reports on the tens of spammers on the site and have not done anything about them.

it's one thing if spammers only get removed once per day but currently they're being allowed to stay posting spam for days at a time.

i know it was once said to me to "go easy" on new members as they want this to be a forum that gets popular and everyone likes to visit but if this goes on much longer then pretty much all they will have left is a barren forum only visited/posted on by spammers

Most of us don't mind reporting the odd spammer from time to time but as RussyRover has mentioned it's becoming a joke.

But when your having to report as many as we are getting now it takes the joy away from entering the forum with so much shite being posted

i'm the same mate, i've reported at least 7 different "members" as spammers and an godly number of individual posts.

best bit is that one of the spam posts includes a picture of what i hope are legal girls but looks very dodgy and they're still not doing anything about it.

i mean i did think for a second "maybe there's some problem that's stopping them being removed" but if that was the case why not inform the forum members, instead we just get a wall of silence and a endless stream of spam, i'm fairly certain at this point if you take posts about spammers out of the equation then the majority of the posts made today will be spam.

too true, it looks like the russians are trying to muscle in now!!! I mean do they have some sort of secret society that lets the rest of them know when a site is open for business IE allowing spam and shit? Best thing was, after posting that crap, good ole 'Olga' spent time looking at threads?? now that is taking the piss, either that or got bored of posting.

As you've probably seen, the spam attack returned in the early hours, this is more than taking the piss.
Admins / The Boss / someone, you gotta do something, unless you want your forum overrun by gibberish, please get someone fixed up as a mod to banish these morons...

there is 6 of them at the moment, looks like they are trying to outdo each other, although looking at the contents, they are all pretty much the same couple people in the last few days, just a load of newly registered names. they could have used the old ones, as they haven't been banned yet!! lol

it's a christmas miracle! at least one has actually been banned, jesus fucking christ that took a long time. his post/thread he created still hasn't been removed though
