  Hi All,
  
  I hope that you have all enjoyed the points for post system that we have made. Free calls and all that can't be bad can it?! However we have had to amend how it works and for a majority of posters this news will make no difference. Owing to some members posting nonsense, commenting on pics and then re-commenting on the same pic, one word posts like, wicked, brilliant, awesome when the like button covers this, you get the picture. There is now a 140 character minimum to gain a point.
  
  So why should the rest of you be penalised for this? Well the truth is you won't be. From what we've seen, the posters who contribute properly have posts over 140 characters or good content within their posts. It's the one worders and nonsense posts that will be affected along with quoting pics to gain a point.
  
  This way, if you contribute towards this forum then you will be rewarded with a point and spammers won't. We hope you find this fair.

  That sounds fair... I just need to be able to count to 140 now!
  Will there be any kind of counter to help?! I want to be able to build up points but I don't want to take the p!ss either!

  i agree defiantly a fair idea but also a pain in the butt lol, at least nobody can think oh i can just do like a worder and that way ill get a point soo to those guys it will be a major pain in arse but dont really got any sympathy for them, by the FMR thanks for the update very appreciated man

  I am so tempted to reply with a one word answer here. But its fair, we are getting somethig for nothing here really so its only fair we put in some effort to the posts.

  I agree with this and think it's a fair idea. Some sort of counter would be a good idea, because I just tried counting and gave up after about three attempts!
  Also, you might want to pin this post or flag it in some way, otherwise it might get lost with all the others and then people will only start complaining.
  Have I got to 140 yet??

  I think the 140 character limit is a bit much to be honest... I can see you need to stop people posting single words etc but surely there are lots of normal posts under 140 characters? I would prefer a smaller limit and bans for anyone abusing the system, but that's just me...

  Sounds fair,
  and it's not really a problem for me because my posts tend to be either long or include pics or attachments, i usually post good stuff if i do say so myself lol,
  hopefully it'll stop the one word posts.

  suppose a slight lower limit would be better say like 100 im with you there shawnthesheeps mate but in way 140 makes sense i knows its a bitta work for point tho true

  good thread in theory,but how on earth do we know when we get to 140,counting is like being back at school,yes 1word, fantastic,awesome, briil,bad news yes but i wrote at beginning of post,good thread in theory,but how on earth do we know when we get to 140,now that is 54characters,so i dont get point for making just a slight comment .not fair,still love the site though,i must have got a point 4that ...

  i'm perfectly happy with 140 characters, and i don't think there's any need for a counter either, as if there is a counter it just means people will be padding out their posts just to get a point.
  
  i'm just glad something is finally being done about all the people who constantly post the kinds of things fmr mentioned
