  to much,we r being being penalised jus 4 liking something rubbish...a thumbs up is ok but wots wrong with giving a little appreciation to the posters time and effort...i know we can still put the comment but some guys make an effort to call the girls and this helps ,now we got to think wot we r going to say or type to gain a point...dont make no difference to me,wish i never got any points now u,ve changed it...

  there's no need to go so over the top. you have to remember the points are a gift, they are not a right, and you can not by definition be "penalised" by no longer receiving a free privilege. it is something nice the guys at rampant are doing for us all, if they want to change how it works to help stop the multiplying number of tiny posts, repeat posts etc... then i am all for it! and they're not stopping you from saying thanks to someone in a post, you just wont get a point, i fail to see what the big deal is, as if you were only saying thanks to get a point then you're probably the kind of person this was bought in for.

  for someone who "doesn't give a shit" you seem quite worked up over it. and as i said it's not the guys who run the forums fault, it's the many many people who did the things mentioned that in your words "ruined it for the rest of us"

  no not worked up over it,just giving MY opinion,if that was stated b4 u came on site about the 140,i bet u any money u like there wouldnt be over 3000 members here...

  the fact there's that many registered users means nothing as the vast majority of them don't post on here anyway. and besides i know that i for one and probably the guys at rampant would far rather have 10 people on here that post good posts that contribute to the forums, rather than 5000000 people who just post to get points
  
  as i've said the points are a reward for good posters, so no one has any right to complain, so it's very simple anyone that doesn't like the change can leave. and the forum was around for a long time before the relatively new points system came in

  so we have an ending,u must want the points so bad 4writing so many replies to me,if u like writing essays thats ur right put it to a poll whos in favour of idea,i think the site will lose my friend...

  if you actually looked at my statistics you will see i post far more than i get points for, i often post more than 20 times in a day and it doesn't bother me that i don't get points for those posts. in the same way as i think i've only got points for two of the replys i've made to you and that's fine as well.
  
  and you're not getting my point, they dont have to put it to a vote, the decision is theirs to make, and if people carry on making such a big deal about it then if i was in charge i would take away the points completely

  and u wouldnt have no members,not that u care cos the way ur talking ,number 1 is all that counts 4u,wot about others,they cum on here.points 4posts remember that,and now jus be cos of some poxy rule change they cant get their points,only if they write an essay ,ur opinion ok ,dont take away others,jus not fair...

  i have no problem with opinions, i have a problem with people who moan about something they apparently don't care about, and also moan about something that they have no control over. anyway i'm bored or this now, so won't bother replying anymore
