  having just got back from seeing it, without giving any spoilers all i will say is
  
  GO SEE IT!
  
  i'd honestly say it was as close as possible to the film that we were all thinking it would be, i'm sure there will be parts some people might not like etc.. but for me i don't really think there was any one part that really bugged me at all, and i think they got the mix of focus between all the hero's correct, i didn't feel like it was too heavy on any one avenger which i was worried it might be.
  
  also while i'm not really a fan of 3d as i don't think it really add's much to a film i will say that this is the first film i've seen that did seem to get the use of 3d right
  
  one thing i will say without spoilers is that there is a little bit at the end like with nearly all marvel films, although this isn't right at the very end of the credits as it has been in the past it's after the main actors have been up and before all the cameramen etc... we left after that one bit so would like to hear from anyone who stayed right untill the very end to see if there was a second extra part or not
  
  oh and JLF send me a pm when you've seen it as would like to hear what you thought about it etc...

  I figured there would be something at the end, there always is with Marvel films (which i actually like, the people who want to watch the film, and sometimes watch them with me on the over hand don`t lol)
  I will pm you when i`ve watched it, will be a few weeks though, can`t watch it just yet, i`m hoping it will stay in for a while so i don`t miss out on seeing it in the cinema.

  yeah i'm just glad they put the extra bit only about a min or so into the credits this time rather than right at the very end of them, unless as i said there was maybe a second extra bit at the very end but i doubt it.

  Just saw it last night and oh man it was freakin' awesome!
  There's a lot of comedy in it, and whilst i was initially worried it'd get tiresome, it did not.
  Definitely recommend.
  
  With regards to the extra scene we waited for the first one, but decided to leave thinking that there is very little chance there'd be a second one. But i'd also like to hear from anyone who stayed til the end :)

  it's pretty straight forward where the assemble bit comes from, it's what nick furry says to get the team together, a bit like the call to arms for the team.
  
  but it is odd they called the film that, just "the avengers" would've been better in my opinion

  In the comics i think Cap also said Avengers Assemble as a sort command to fall in when neccesary (only read a select handfull of comics so i'm not sure, i'm curious whether Cap issues any such commands in the film though.)
  I find the title a little odd as well, and as far as i'm aware it's just called The Avengers everywhere else, only reason i can think of is there was the old series the Avengers and a subsequent film made from that (which bombed) maybe it's to avoid being connected to that.

  
  Yeah i think your right about the title, I read somewhere, i think from imdb, that its to do with old series.

  "Avengers Assemble" is indeed the teams battle cry from the comics, two of the most famous words in marvel history.
  
  TK92 - there was just the one extra scene in the middle of the credits, nothing at the very end so you didn't miss anything. Not sure how that scene would play to someone who didn't know who it was revealed at the end though. If you do know, then DAMN! that puts so much more from the comics into play that can be used for the films now.
  
  I've waited for that film since I started reading comics in 1976 and it didn't dissapoint. For the first time a superhero film put it ALL on the screen. Everything that you could have imagined being drawn in a comic was finally made in a movie. The end battle? GOOD GOD! Now that is a superhero fight!
  
  The new Batman film is going to look like eastenders compared to that now - so up yours Warners for not letting Whedon make that Wonder Woman film!

  Can't wait to see this movie have waited so long for it to come out i am a massive comic book geek and love every comic book film that has been released but to have all the avengers in one film is just awesome

  I went to see it last night with my nephew, it's the best one they have done yet., really good all the way through and my nephew loved it.

  hopefully going to see it on Wednesday cant wait to see the film and especially with scarlett johansson in the outfit she wears after hearing her say she had to wear nothing underneath it as it was so tight

  was talkin about this with a few folk at work out of the avengers, which one would u most want to be and for what reason??
  i said would have to be iron man tony stark and you could just develop new weapons if needed and there is something appealing about a drunk man flying around in a iron suit lol
