  Premier League vs Southampton (H) - 3-1
  Nunez continues his reign of terror. But so much credit for this victory needs to be given to Alisson for pulling off three outstanding saves in the second half. Robertson also drew level with Baines as the defender with the most assists in premier league history. Elliott put in another performance that will eventually earn him a call up to the England team in a few years.
  
  Alisson was outstanding. Trent was good. Gomez was good. Virgil was good. Robertson was great. Fabinho was good. Thiago was good. Elliott was great. Nunez was great. Firmino was good. Salah was good. Milner was good. Ox was OK.

  Glad to get a late equalizer at Brighton, but gutted to concede a late equalizer at Reading. I'm happy Shanice is back to give us more of an attacking threat upfront. Hopefully we can tighten up at the back against Blackburn in our next game.

  Four game undefeated run and two wins in a row. Despite it being only our second win of the WSL season since the opening day. We're starting to pick up some momentum. All I wanted at the start of the season after getting promoted was to stay in the league, and it looks like we can do it now that we're getting our injured players back.

  Hopefully our mid-season training camp will prove to be beneficial to our endeavours in the second half of the season and our pursuit to obtain the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. Despite losing to Lyon in our opening game, we were able to bounce back with a win over AC Milan. For the players that didn't go to the World Cup, it was a good chance to build up some match sharpness. I'm sure Klopp and the coaching staff will have made some tactical tweaks to ensure that we're able to start matches with our trademark intensity, instead of the sluggish approach that has hindered our Premier League campaign so far this season. The one slight disappointment is losing Diaz to injury again until March, but Jota is rumoured to be back in January. Keita, Ox and Matip are back from injury. Youngsters like Doak and Clark getting game time and assists too, will do their confidence the world of good.

  Saskia Jade is back on The Redmen TV podcast again. I didn't know she was supporting Denmark in the World Cup, it would've been so cool if she joined the World Cup and Premier League prediction competitions on here. Looks wise she isn't really my type, but she's cute and got a fun personality. I'll have to give her a call one day, talk about Liverpool and tell her to take Tanya to Anfield.

  League Cup vs Man City (A) - 3-2
  For the neutrals and Man City fans that was a great return to English club football after the World Cup. For Liverpool fans it was a mixture of good and bad. We should've been blown out of the water in the first fifteen minutes of the first half, but we stuck at it and went in at half time level. Then immediately conceded in the second half, got back in it straight away and then threw it away again. I do have some sympathy for the team that started, who were a bunch of first and second teamers playing against Haaland, KDB, Rodri and Gundogan. But it highlighted that we need some new players in January. Nunez had a hat-trick of chances that he failed to get on target. Villa away won't be easy on the weekend but VVD, Konate, Firmino, TAA and Alisson might be back by then.

  Premier League vs Aston Villa (A) - 1-3
  I'm so happy that Bajcetic got his first premier league goal, Doak made his premier legue debut and we've signed Gakpo. Our performance was OK. Villa had a couple decent chances, so we can still sharpen up our transitions from attacking to defending. But our pressing was really good and we created a fair few chances that fell to Nunez, which he should've done a bit better with.

  Premier League vs Leicester (H) - 2-1
  It wasn't easy and it wasn't pretty, but we got the three points and that's all that matters. I don't understand why we continue to start games so slowly and concede early. It would be nice to pick up a couple midfielders in January to give us some stability when we're out of possession. Our ability to create chances is still good and it will only improve now that we've bought Gakpo.

  Premier League vs Brentford (A) - 3-1
  This nightmare of a season continues just as we were building some sort of momentum to get into the top four. We started the match fine but once we conceded our heads dropped. We were really sharp in the second half got an early goal, and then we conceded again. I sort of understand why we've been poor this season. The mental toll of almost winning the Quadruple is a lot to take mentally, but also the small pre-season and then the break for the world cup will have had an effect physically. What ever happens at the end of this season doesn't really matter. I'm sure we'll be back to normal at the start of next season.
