FA Cup vs Wolves (H) - 2-2
It's turning into groundhog day. We started decently, conceded a stupid goal and fell apart. Then somehow got into the lead, threw it awy and almost lost. I sort of would of preferred if we just got knocked out tonight instead of having a replay. Gakpo did OK on his debut. Doak looked bright when he came on. Nunez took his goal beautifully after a nice TAA assist.

Alisson was fine. TAA was fine. Matip was fine. Konate was fine. Robbo was fine. Henderson was fine. Fabinho was fine. Thiago was fine. Gakpo was fine. Nunez was fine. Salah was fine. Doak was fine. Keita was fine. Gomez was fine. Elliott was fine.

Felt wolves were unlucky not to win that match close game looking forward to seeing the replay. which someone don't like replays we know (Liverpool Manager) but great for the FA Cup without them it would hurt the FA Cup more. I think if doesn't want to be in it they should be able to opted out of it so team which want to be in can win it. Surprised how many good players had for a third round, but lots of subs which was no surprise nice even game.

Premier League vs Brighton (A) - 3-0
We were abysmal from start to finish, apart from the brief spell when we made the quadruple substitution. I'll always have faith in Klopp and I do believe he can make us win trophies again but it's going to take time and investment. I don't have a massive issue with FSG as owners, they've done a lot of positive things for the club and their transfer strategy has been proven to work. But we desperately need to reinvigorate our entire first choice centre midfield with some fresh new talent. In the meantime until that happens we need to put our out of form players on the bench and play some youngsters instead.

That was a screamer of a goal by Elliott. Hopefully this is the beginning of us playing relatively decent again. The young and fresh starting eleven Klopp chose was much needed and the team repaid his faith in them. The set up of us playing a 451 when we were defending was good and gave us some much needed solidity. I wouldn't mind if we picked the same team in the next round of the cup versus Brighton and versus Chelsea in the league on the weekend.

Kelleher was good. Milner was good. Konate was good. Gomez was good. Tsimikas was OK. Bajcetic was great. Thiago was good. Keita was good. Carvalho was good. Gakpo was OK. Elliott was great. Phillips was good. Doak was good. Jones was good. Salah was OK.

Premier League vs Chelsea (H) - 0-0
It was very far from being a great game but I'm happy to take the point and the clean sheet. We were relatively decent out of possession in comparison to how we've been for most of the season. The disappointing part is that we weren't great once we got the ball. I liked that Klopp chose to start with a midfield three of Keita, Thiago and Bajcetic. They worked really well at stopping Chelsea attack us. The back four were OK too but could've been better at building up our attacks and feeding the ball into midfield. The front three were OK but failed to really hold onto the ball and create chances.

Alisson was OK. Milner was OK. Gomez was OK. Konate was OK. Robbo was OK. Keita was good. Thiago was good. Bajcetic was good. Elliott was OK. Gakpo was OK. Salah was OK. TAA was OK. Hendo was fine. Fabinho was fine. Jones was good. Nunez was bright.

And this shambles of a season continues. We actually played relatively well in the first half, got the first goal and we're unfortunate to concede due to a deflection. Our compact play out of possession limited them to only creating chances from Mitoma's direct running at Trent. Once we made the subs and took off Thiago, Keita and Bajcetic - we capitulated. Our only hope of any silverware now rests on beating Real Madrid in the Champions League.

I've never predicted that we'd not win a game in the prediction thread but even the most optimistic part of my brain is thinking that there is a very small chance that we beat Everton next week at Anfield. We were awful again for the majority of this game apart from the first half hour of the second half, and even then we couldn't take our chances in front of goal. The entire back four were awful for the first fifteen minutes of the game and were all culpable in someway for us going two goals down. The midfield were relatively decent until Naby got subbed. The attack were wasteful and incapable of scoring, holding onto the ball and/or relieving pressure.

Alisson was good. TAA was fine. Matip was fine. Gomez was fine. Robbo was fine. Naby was good. Bajcetic was good. Thiago was good. Salah was fine. Nunez was fine. Gakpo was fine. Henderson was fine. Tsimikas was fine.

Premier League vs Everton (H) - 2-0
WE'RE BACK. Actually nah not really. But it was definitely a much needed step in the right direction. From the first whistle there was a lot of energy and purpose in our play, on and off the ball. Bajcetic was outstanding and has been a much needed bright spot in this shambles of a season. Gapko getting his first goal will fill him with tons of confidence. The return of VVD, Bobby and Jota from injury will give the squad a boost. The rest of the season won't be easy but hopefully this result will the start of something positive.

Premier League vs Newcastle (A) - 0-2
Back-to-back clean sheets. Back-to-back wins. With a bit of luck we might get top four this season. TAA's assist and Nunez's finish was the perfect start. Salah's assist and Gakpo's finish gave us breathing space. Pope's sending off was almost confirmation of the three points, but Newcastle still caused us a couple problems with ten men. If Jota had a bit more match sharpness, he might have scored one of the three half chances he had when he came on.

Champions League vs Real Madrid (H) - 2-5
That was pretty embarrassing and sort of summed up how shambolic this season has been so far. Weirdly I'm not that angry or upset though. We came out the blocks all guns blazing and were phenomenal. I just wish we'd kept it a bit tighter and managed the game a bit better once we went two up. Sadly we seem to let out heads drop any time we concede a goal this season. We shouldn't have chased the game when we got sucker punched at the start of the second half and conceded the third. But if there is any club crazy enough to win with a four goal lead in the Bernabeu, then it's us.
