thankyou for that scotty. i was beginning to doubt that i had heard it. it is strange, though, that not of the journalist seemed to have picked up on it and challenged the PM about it. i thought it was their job was to pick up and cross examine him, to pin him down on what he is telling us.

MANY PEOPLE WILL LOOK AT OUR SUCCESS. boris johnson.
shall we look at their success. their best success was changing the wording to 'NOT OVERWHELMING' the NHS without any major uproar. we still have the worst death rate in the world. but we can end the lockdown, increase the infection rate and people will die but they will have a hospital bed to die in, today there were 3400 more cases. on the current rate 15% of them will die. around 500 more dead. but they will have hospital beds because 600 people died today. MANY PEOPLE WILL LOOK AT OUR SUCCESS. so there you have it . success ! i have a suggestion. i keep making them so here is another. we need more doctors like DR harold shipman, and nurses like nures allitt. just think how much more capacity there would be in our NHS. they have moved the goal posts from stopping the infection. moved it from fighting the virus and now it is enough to tell us that the NHS is not being overwhelmed as we have the highest number of deaths in europe.

i have been suggesting that the science bods or the government produce the figurs for the 'R' number in the major cities before we venture back to work so people can make an assessment of how dangerous it is 'be alert' they were promised last week but as far as i know have not been produced. Andy Burnham the mayor of Manchester has produced the 'R' number for greater Manchester. it is , he says. 0.8 you may remember that when the figure was 0.6 it was deemed too dangerous and another 3 weeks of lockdown was enforced. so what does this tell us. the people ( workers ) in manchester are expendable ? i urge all people of manchester not to go back to work . it is not safe. the government said this just 3 weeks ago, i know it is costing money (like shutting the beaches in JAWS but the shark is still out there ) they say the furlough is costing the country 10 billion a month. which sounds a lot or money to you and me but remember the bank bailout was 1000 billion ( one thousand billion ) and that did not save even one life.

MANY PEOPLE WILL LOOK AT OUR SUCCESS. boris johnson
this is becoming a regular feature on this thread as we look at these many people looking at our success.

he German newspaper Die Zeit puts the UK near the bottom of the league table writing: “In Great Britain, the infection has spread unchecked longer than it should have. The wave of infections also spread from the hospitals to the old people’s homes, which could also have been avoided. The government is now trying to pretend to the public that it has the situation under control.”

In Italy Corrierra della Serra points to the national divisions within the UK writing: “The United Kingdom is shattering on phase 2. Last night, in a televised speech to the nation, Boris Johnson announced the progressive – but still slow and gradual – relaxation of the ‘lockdown’: the government’s message goes from ‘stay at home’ to ‘be alert’. However, the other regions of the country do not agree: Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will continue to ask their citizens not to leave [home].”

The Spanish newspaper El Pais reports the UK government’s strategy has generated confusion and anger among citizens, businessmen and the self-employed.

In an editorial, Le Monde, the leading French daily, describes Britain’s new slogan as cringeworthy given the UK had recorded the worst mortality figures in Europe.

The Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant has also challenged the UK performance: “According to many, testing, testing, testing is the motto. That has hardly happened in the UK for weeks, losing sight of the spread of the virus. This gap shows that the British were insufficiently prepared for the pandemic, despite the presence of expertise in this area. The country has been catching up in recent weeks. Much of the harm has already been done.”

New York Times said many had been left baffled, adding: “his proposals had run into a barrage of opposition, as critics pointed to gaps and contradictions in a plan that left many pondering basic questions such as when to return to work and how to get there”.

good old boris would not end lockdown if it was not safe for us would he. well he would not end it if it was not safe for him. i have still not seen any 'R' numbers for the cities in the UK but we have the areas with the highest infection rates. i would assume these are either the same or very similar. guess what. the top 9 on the list are ALL in the North. what a shock. barrow in furness. lancaster. south lakeland. ashford. gateshead. sunderland. south tyneside. middlesbrough carlisle. as i said about manchester if you are in these areas keep to the furlough and do not go out. never mind stay alert.

okay so i am again playing woodford and bernstein, i have been saying that we should be given the 'R' number in areas and cities so that we can be 'ALERT' as to the risk. Boris Johnson has said people should go back but without clear information on this it is impossible to make an informed decision. i can now bring you figures, in the week before the PM urged us to return to work in London there were 24 new infections. seems quite reasonable to end the lockdown then, 24 is manageable. should be easy to trace contacts. hold on there. in Yorkshire in the same week there were 4000 new infections. and the 'R' number has increased in other areas. but we are still urged to return to work. this Prime Minister is not a prime minister for all the UK. Scotland . Wales and Northern Ireland have all high infection rates. this Pm is not even prime minister for all England. to have low infections in London and make a decision for all England regardless of the risk it brings to the Northerners..
this PM is PM for rich, white, ex-public schoolboy multi-millionaires. and those areas in the North that went against generations of labour voting to put him in power, risking their lives for his bankers and friends economy. they have thrown away their past. insulted generations who fought for the working class. the jarrow marchers to name one , shame on them. shame on them.

okay. the figures i gave yesterday were wrong. first the area was not Yorkshire but 'Yorkshire and the North East' secondly it was not 24 new infections a week in london and 4000 infections a week in 'yorkshire and the noth east' but these were the daily figures. to me 4000 new infections a week seemed a lot ( especially when you consider the death rate from infections in this country well over 10% ) but 4000 a day . which boris johnson would obviously have known ( i suspect he gets more accurate figures than me ) and he still eased the lockdown and said people 'should go back to work' . yorkshire and the north east you are not part of this PMs plans for the country.
