  Ive stayed loyal to blackberry for about 5 years now, upgraded to torch recently, but is it about time we all jumped ship from blackberry, they just dont offer anything new and Android phones are just amazing in comparison.
  
  theyve said theres going to be new operating systems etc that bring them up to speed but with how far behind they are does anyboy think theyll ever catch up or is it time to change loyalties??

  Some people like them still but I doubt I'll ever go back to a phone that has physical buttons as opposed to touch screen.

  That poll was suppose to say is blackberry now obsolete but i dont really know what happened and i cant see any way of editing it :s i know Noob mistake not checking it over before posting, sorry guys!

  I love my IPhone too much to even bother with android or blackberrys anymore. i think apple are slowly killing them off along with samsung with the galaxy. Blackberry seems to be opening the door of the cheaper option of the elite phones so its hanging on in there for now.

  Blackberry's have touch screens now too, the new bold and the phone i have, the torch both have touch screen that are pretty good, as well as having normal buttons (they flip out in the torch). this is actually one good thing that blackberry has going for it, touch screens can get annoying to type on, so they uses the best of both worlds.

  blackberrys cost as much as most androids, especially the new bold and torch!! apple are slowly killing off the competition though, and apparently they've got shit loads of stuff they're just waiting to bring out, bit by bit.. blackberry will probs need to cut thier losses soon!

  personally i think thev always ben dead, for the size anf the size of the screen and the graphics on it but mostly its famouse for bbm, tottally understandable, but i got a motorola anroid fone. you can jailbreak anyfone now n get bbm on it and its free as long as u know wot ur doin

  I've always been surprised at how the Blackberry got in the first place. To me, its always seemed the most awkward phone to use. I still like having physical buttons but Blackberry have the smallest buttons ever. It took me about 5 minutes to type out a simple text.
  Iphone and the samsung galaxy phones are so far ahead now.

  I wouldn't say that Blackberry are dead, but they aren't doing as well lately and i don't think the qwerty keyboard design works for a lot of people i know they don't for me, i tested one out and the buttons were way too small, i think that in general Iphones and just touch screen phones work better.

  thanks for the help, i think its safe to say the general vibe is blackberry isnt good and wont be getting better any time soon. contract runs out end of this month, i guess new question is which phone should i get then??
