  I think the Blackberry OS is terrible, that's partly to blame I think. The hardware just looks the same each time, maybe slightly thinner. I'd go for an Android or iPhone. I'd even choose a Windows 7 phone over a Blackberry!

  The worst thing is, im hearing rampant can be veiwed on iphones and ipads, i just tried to load Rampant on my balckberry torch, not even a flicker of working on there :-( i think that clinches the decision. blackberrys gone.

  If i were you i would definitely look into getting yourself an IPhone cause they are awesome and yeah you can get on to rampant on it, its a great quality stream too. But if you dont want to go down that route i would look at the samsung galaxy pal.

  I don't think it's dead yet, but it's currently dying. So many people are switching to other smart phones because blackberry isn't doing the new sexy things other phones are considering to be standard these days. I have no doubt they'll release something new and exciting to hush the critics at some point.

  ya i think soo its not really that great of a phone i dont know why everyone loves it soo much, i think everyone is going for the new iphone and also for the new htc phones which are really good

  Blackberry phones are good for what they were originally designed for which is a business phone that enables them to show you and use your e-mail on the move. For the business world the fact that all mail using Blackberry goes through their own server gives a high level of confidentialty and security to messages on the move and means that Governments such as the UAE controling family can not get access to messages using Blackberry.
  
  However BBM was found out by lots of young phone users as a great medium to chat with much better than text and most importantly free so everywhere you looked boys and girls were using these phones. RIM the makers of the phone made the error of thinking that their phones were bieng used and chosen because they were a rival to apple and started to make them have all the gadgets and extras that iPhones did . But in fact the only reason they were being used was for BBM . Blackberry made the error of not using Android and so lost out when all the apps appeared for that platform and many were not useable on a Blackberry as most did not have a touch screen(The original Torch had a screen but frankly it was pants and all but worthless the new one is supposed to be better but not used one yet).
  
  For this reason Blackberry have now withdrawn there phones from the consumer market to concentrate on what they do best which is make business phones for business users. So they will not dissapear but they will also not be involved in the gadget race to have the latest and fastest camera , apps whatever the current gimmick is.
