I didnt dislike Safe House but its not a movie i would ever rush to watch again either. Thought it was ok. I know humour is selective but to be honest i found it cringe inducing (then again im a fan of the darker comic book movies more than the more tongue in cheek efforts).

I havent seen it, but it really, really didn't seem like it could possibly be good. Marvel have really destroyed DC. I know which film rights I'd rather have.

You're judging whose film rights you'd rather have on the quality of the studio's behind the films though which not really the best way to judge it. DC has more than enough stories that can equal Marvel, it just needs better direction
