  Did get around to procuring and watching 'XX' last weekend. Horror buffs will know this to be an anthology horror in the same vein as the VHS films etc..difference being, on this occassion, all the tales (4 of them and a wrap around of sorts) are all directed by women. Why this was used as a selling point i have no idea. Reason being, granted the bulk of the tales in these anthology films seem to be directed by guys..couldnt give 2 about the gender of the director..its all about the quality of what they deliver. On that note, its just a shame that this film isnt all that and certainly not even close to being in the same league as the VHS films (as a comparrison). The 4th story is by far the most entertaining with the 1st 3 just getting in the way. I was kinda impressed at the ingenuity that went into the wraparound story (of sorts)..namely because its batshit crazy in a non making sense, really out there kinda way. Have certainly seen worse films but given that 3 out oof the 4 main tales are pretty shit, i cant really recommend this film (suggest checking out the wraparound story on, for example, youtube, if you can).

  Got around to watching the sequel to Stakeland, imaginativly titled both 'Stakeland 2' or 'The Stakelander' dependent on where you get your info from lol, earlier today. Could only recall the fundementals of the first film but did vaguely recall it being good. Whilst this follow up isnt a complete disaster (theres some stuff to like here), suspect it will fall firmly into the '1 watch and forget' catagory. This sequel picks up a fair few years fter the original with the young lad in the first now in his (best guess) 20's, doig a number on the vamps himself. Following a tragedy though he seeks out to not only destroy a new lead vamp but also reconnect with his protector and trainer from the first film known simply as 'mister'. As i said, theres some stuff to like here. An ample amount of gore, kinda effective vamps with some solid enough perfromances.

  the devils candy looked like it might be a good movie, i liked the trailer looked like it could be scary, and devil in the dark trailer looked pretty good it got me wanting to watch it to, good posts

  i really like the look of the movie wish upon, its like some voodoo doll type of thing and all her wishes come through, i really want to see this i think it will be very good

  Saw a few interesting horror films the this week (suppose technically it's now last week, but anyway). There is 'Ghoulies',  a slightly awful, but in a funny way, b movie. Which had some horrendous overacting and the least scary looking demons ever. And 'Killer Klowns from outer space', weird looking space clowns that attack a small town. And yes, it's just as good as it sounds.

  i saw both trailers and i didnt really like the look of evil within, but i did like the look of 47 meters down, if i was ever in that situation i wouldnt know what to do, that is to scary to think of

  Now there's some proper retro ***** sci fi horror kiitch going on there, Jesslloydfan, what with 'Killer Clowns' and 'Gholies'. Is it that nothings really taking your fancy new horror release wise (to be fair,.theres a lot of shit being released of late) or are you just feeling a nostalgic vibe? Either way, whilst i can certainly recall seeing 'Gholies' back in the day, may just have to track both films down for when im feeling the nostalgic vibe.

  i heard that one of the best horror movies ever is get out, and i keep hearing how good and scary it is, has anyone seen it yet, i have to wait for movies to come out unless i go cinema, need one those cody boxes
