  Some of the horror films cropping up nowadays do have truly horrendous names but suppose its gotta be more and more difficult to come up with original ones. One particula title that really does say it all in the title, which i coincidently watched PART OF last night is called 'Dont Knock Twice'. Starring Katee Sackhoff, the film is essentially a spirit summoning film basically involving a stupid descision by some teen girl and being pursued by a spirit or demon as a result. Not entirely sure what i was expecting from the film but descided, despite the mixed reviews, to give it a chance. Couldnt make it to the end of the film without falling asleep, made it to around the hour mark but really should have jumped up and turned it off..i was ssooo bored. Dull, plodding, predictabl..i dont mind a slow build of a horror so long as it does it well, with something for you to get your teeth into. Unfortunatly this doesnt acheive that..the scares, as mediocre as they were, far to speradic.

  While i'm sure it is a challenge to find a new name for a horror film, or as most want them to become a horror franchise, there is a point where different just to be different is just stupid. That Death Passage film looks watchable at least, not the most original but could be decent.
  In other horror film news, the previously announced reboot of Friday the 13th, again, has yet again been delayed.

  child eater looked like a bit of a weird trailer doesnt really look like something id want to watch, but ghost of darkness looked a little better and will check it out soon

  I hear reboot for this, reimagining of that and it generally doesnt set my world alight..especially when it comes too some of horrors most iconic characters. Friday the 13th wasnt even on my radar, did read today the names of the 2 gys who are gonna write the script for a upcoming new entry in the Halloween franchise. Saying that, one of the guys is Danny Mcbride who to the best of my knowledge is more closely associated with comedy (especially in fronnt of the camera). Aparently John Carpenter is thrilled..hmm, comedy writer attempts halloween..call me cautious.

  Well i actually read since i posted that previous post that the Friday the 13th reboot has been cancelled. News i'm sure will leave you very disappointed. The last remake sucked, so i don't know why they were even making another anyway. I suppose like Jason in the film that franchise won't stay dead. How Jason X didn't kill it i don't know.

  yes jessloydfan u and gymaddict always post movies with some weird names, lol but some movies with weird names are good, and bornless ones looks like it might be one of those

  Hmm, not to sure about 'Bornless Ones'. Have seen it available but i dont know, something puts me off. There does seem to have been an awful lot of new straight to dvd horror releases of late, most f which im nt willing to give the time of day, however, something about the write up on 'Havenhurst' made me take the plunge. Gotta say, im kinda glad i did. Decided to take the plunge based purely on some imdb reviews. Havenhurst essentially tells of a recoverin addict who moves into a post rehab hotel of sorts which inevitably turns out to be too good to be true, what with unexplained disapearances and all. Tp say more woulld give to much away and while not the most persistantly gory (although it does have a couple of moments), this falls intoo more the thriller horror department. Still, its pretty entertaining with solid perfoormances and never really lags. Recommended.

  from the producer of saw i like that because saw is a raw movie, and i really like the look of this trailer, looks scary and jumpy and im definitely going to watch this one good post gymaddict

  Poxy spammers, go bother some other forum on some other site and stop peddling your nonsence on here. Yeah Dony, Havenhurst is definatly worth a look..an unexpected treat..by no mmeans a classic, but an entertaining treat none the less. Have just procured 2 horrors which im hoping to get to over the weekend 'Stakeland 2' and the all female directed anhology horror 'XX'. Will review asap after.
