  Wow, thats quite a list Jesslloydfan. Looks like have got some trailer watching to do. The Woods..is that the one with Margery Tyrell..sorry, Natalie Dormer(lol) as the lead. Have seen it available for download for a little while now but somethin g has been holding me back (probably the largely rubbish reviews it has received). Have downloaded 2 horrors this evening, 1 called 'February' starring Emma Roberts, downloaded based on some pretty positive reviews and an interesting sounding premise. Also, although you could probably label this under scifi / horror is the new Stephen King adaptation 'Cell' starring John Cusack and Sam Jackson. Something about a cell broadcast signal that turns people, supposedly, into zombie like creatures. Mixed revviews with more than several mentions of 'B movie'. Gonna take a stab anyways and will review both after,.

  Yeah there's a lot. I have been meaning to add some to the thread for a while but totally slipped my mind until they all piled up into a long list. I've read the book of Cell, very good. The film doesn't look great to me, Sam Jackson is miscast in the role he is. the character he plays in the book is described as short, unassuming looking. Has a moustache, is gay and white (Sam Jackson is 6 ft odd, far from unassuming looking. Probably not playing the character as gay, he's never stretched his acting that for to play that, and is definitely not white).
  
  I did watch one I mentioned on here a while ago 'He Never Died', weird film. Not really outright horror but it was entertaining and interesting. Worth a watch (on Netflix for those that have it).

  'He never died'..never heard of it but on your recommendation jess Lloyd fan, I will certainly look into it. Now, on to 'Cell'. What can I say except disappointed. Not that they are all bad but it's a parent from the off that this is worthy of a place on the straight to scfi channel list. Shocking acting and dialogue, atrocious special effects for a cinema movie..straight to scfi channel level of effects. Biggest problem was you would think a film featuring countless rampaging rage filled killers, explosions and plenty of death would be quite the ride. Instead it somehow does that but manages to be really boring at the same time. I watched 40 minutes or so and gave up, left the dam watching the rest.

  It was a film I posted the trailer for ages ago, honestly I'd forgotten about until I saw it on Netflix and had a vague recollection of the title. Cell is a book I was looking forward to the film adaption of, until I saw the casting and then the trailer and then I lost all desire to see it. The trailer just looks so generic and cheap, they very rarely seem to get Stephen King adaptions right.

  Watched a fairly recent horror film the other night, one of the nights anyway. The Visit, for a handheld camera film ( a lot of them piss me off) it was alright. Two kids go to visit their grandparents who they've never met before and strangeness ensues. All I'm going to say (spoilers and shit), worth a watch if you have Sky Movies and some time to kill, seen worse horror films (but then I have seen some terrible horror films).

  Bloody good call on 'The Visit,. Gr anted nowadays the mere mention of M Night Shalmanan sends a chill up the spine but fair play to the guy, thought 'The Visit' was actually pretty damn good. An interesting spin on the hand held camera kind of film with solid performances and that twist..didnt see that coming. Coming back to a film i mentioned a few posts back called 'February,, my fam and i attempted to watch the film on sunday. 30 minutes in we turned it off. Boring, plodding, dull as you like, weak performances..heck, most of the cast looked like they needed waking up. Avoid.

  Yeah the Visit was surprisingly good, I was expecting a total shitshow but it was pretty good and a surprising ending. I was expecting some nonsensical twist (as is now custom with M Night films) but he avoided his desire to add a ridiculous twist this time. Probably not on I'd watch again mind.

  Watched a new horror called 'The Minds Eye' earlier this week. Has anyone else seen the film? What did you think? Straight to dvd far starring basically no one i have heard of decided to give the bfilm a chance based purely on the write up and a couple of online reviews. Granted the film is far from perfect, the film does borrow heavilly from 'scanners'. It tries to pull in extra kudos by trying to convince us it is 70s / 80s inspired by way of the music etc..but it doesnt work to the greatest of effect. On theplus side, while the performances are throwaway, theres always something happening, its very gory in places and, by all apperances, appears to use practical effects when it come to the gore (something to be commended for). Could certainly do a lot worse but will most likely prove to be a 1 watch job.
