  Basically what is your favourite comedy series of programs that are still on tv right now and are still being made?
  Mine would have to be between how i met your mother and big bang theory, both are just consistently funny every series.

  i do watch both big bang theory and how i met your mother, but i think for me it's big bang theory by a long way.
  
  himym is funny but it also has quite a few parts that aren't very good imo, whereas big bang theory is consistently great
  
  actually thinking of it there's not that many comedy series currently on air, let alone really good ones

  I find both consistently funny myself, although sheldon is possibly the funniest character on tv at the moment, i especially love one part which i saw the episode it was in again yesterday, if you've seen it i'm sure you'll remember it, the bit in the kids ballpit.

  I don't know if animated counts but south park is my favourite comedy series I really haven't seen any funny sitcoms or comedy series out there they can be entertaining but hardly ever funny. Stand up can be funny so can movies but series usually not for me

  Yeah animated counts, i agree on south park very funny program, family guy is brilliant aswell, although the recent episodes while still funny haven't had as many cutaway gags and i do miss when it was more random.

  I do love family guy american dad and all seth mcfarlanes shows but big bang theory i think is just brilliant! I think my favourite of recent times tho is gavin and stacey as it is beautifully written, very well acted and smithy and uncle bryn are just comedy gold!! They should have their own spin off show it would be legendary!!!

  I couldn't get into American Dad, i wanted to like it because i love Family guy but just couldn't it had the occasional funnu moment but not for me, better than the cleveland show i really don't understand how that got past one series i don't find it even slightly funny.
  
  I liked Gavin and Stacey but as funny as smithy and bryn could be, i don't think theh could sustain their own show.

  my favourite comedy series has to be the royle family i just loved the humour in some of the episodes and thinking to my self that's like some people i know also at the moment there is a series going on BBC that is called mrs browns boys.

  sorry completely missed that bit but how ever it was going to be made again for Christmas until they decided it would probably not be best to in case it made viewers bored but at the moment mrs browns boys is very good if you haven't seen it i would highly recommend it
