In the second half when they conceded the free kick, which was kind of dubious, the Portuguese kept ploughing away and from the corner, who else but Ronaldo to score. Wales did not have the scoring prowess without Ramsey.
Overall, they had a great tournament as did Iceland.:D

We did well in the last campaign, but other than Switzerland away there wasn't a match you wouldn't have expected to win comfortably. Far less pressure too. Maybe you'll draw a couple, lose the odd one, but there's 10 or so games and plenty of time to turn things around if necessary.i dont agree sorry,,pride and passion they do not possess one ounce sorry thats my opinion,,they are stuck in the dark ages always, the game plan never changes at majors,,if you look at the way we play now (which is total crap) then get transported back to when we had the likes of lineker and bryan robson playing nothing has changed we have not come on one little bit,,we have great individuals but when they get together they are just a well below par team, the pride is just not there they put on the 3lion shirt and all passion just disappears, shame we do not have clones of Gerrard and Becks,,i mean look at us having Harry taking set pieces and not getting nowhere then a defender takes 1 and scores ,fuck Roy and his whole team are clueless that just sums us up total clueless, i mean the they play to much football in England without a break arguement does just not wash with me,,dont forget most of the foreign players who have success are all here ,,i think its a shame we have to play qualifiers and friendlies ,,i mean look at where France are without hardly playing any football.
And we generally played pretty well in the early stages here. It's all fine margins, and if we'd beat one of Russia or Slovakia (and we deserved to) we'd have topped the group, 7 points, job done.
But the knockout stages... I just can't be having the 'pride and passion' argument. If anything they need to show a bit less and use their heads instead. It's almost like they want it too much (for me, Clive) and when you mix that up with the fear of a media lynching, like Raheem Sterling's had, that's when they start to choke.
Fair point on Hodgson and the tactics though. Hiddink looks a good shout.

Reckon it'll be decent format, something a bit different.
What's the Glasgow venue Goons? Celtic, Ibrox or Hampden?
