I think Marcus Rashford looked good in the few minutes he played. He did provide some attacking width and seemed sharp. But what is he meant to do in five minutes? Why not bring him on earlier? England were clearly out of ideas long before he was brought on!
I'm not a big Raheem Sterling fan, but he did provide some width and won us the penalty, which was very well taken by Rooney.
As for Harry Kane, I'm a big fan of his. I think he's a class player. Just look how many goals he scores for Spurs brilliant! But, ever since the last few games of the Premier League season, he's looked shot to pieces. And his set play 'technique' for England was total rubbish!
The talks already started about the next England manager. I'm make my view clear right now, I would love to see Glenn Hoddle appointed as England manager!
But, I think it's highly likely we'll have another overpaid FA yes man in charge! I have no confidence in the FA whatsoever!
Today I feel the need to call a Rampant babe for a sympathetic chat and a much needed comfort wank due to last nights result :) -

I thought they did pretty well to hold them to 2-1, i mean Kwik Save are a strong team compared to our vast cloud of atomized dog shit!
Just seen on FA website Greg Dyke has put forward the 11 he wants to play against Slovakia in the W C qualifier

To lose to a country that do not have its own national league, that had to recruit players for the squad through the wanted ads, and has a population the size of Leicester, is absolutely appalling!
We should have won comfortably having had the early lead, but had to let in a quick goal from Iceland from a thrown in! Their second goal was soft and should have been saved easily. The defence was as soft as marshmallow.
Second-half, was pedestrian to say the least! Rooney blundering passes. The forwards not getting any service or not prepared to give it any welly. Why put Vardy when he is basically a poacher and the midfield faffing about not delivering the quick forward ball to penetrate the Iceland backline. And why put Rashford with only 5 minutes to go?! Was clearly our best player!!
Out of the home nations, England has been absolutely pathetic! -

Roy Hodgeson was being paid £3.5 million per year! Thus, making him the highest paid manager at the Euros! The England team has been estimated to be the fourth most valuable team at the Euros!
Clearly, their financial value is over inflated when compared to their talents!
The Premier League is the richest football league in the world, party because it's very competitive and entertaining compared with other top leagues. It seems clear now that the money is producing diminishing returns when spent on player wages. Basically, millions of pounds being wasted every season!
Money that could be donated to charities, spent on lowering ticket prices for fans, providing free tickets for disabled fans, investing in grass roots football and developing both young English players and coaches!
In my opinion this is gross waste and it clearly shows to the world the very ugly side of the Premier League and English football! What are the FA doing about all this waste? They're as guilty as anyone!
I've read that Iceland have a superior youth coaching system than England! That doesn't surprise me! The only thing that matters in England is making more money to flush down the nearest shitter on overpriced players!
The least the England team could do for the fans who pay out to support them is reward them with a good performance against a much lower ranked team! But no!
It seems passion, desire, will to win and even humanity has left English football!
At least Rampant still provide more than adequate wanking facilities after loses such as last night :) -

after the destruction of Iceland by France the other night makes me more annoyed England didnt beat Iceland, however given the way France destroyed them, id have rather not have watched England get destroyed by France lol -

Nothing to do with them being British for me. I wasn't fussed when they were shit so not just gonna latch on to any sort of patriotism now they're half decent.
It's just that, like Iceland, they massively over-achieved and are one of the feelgood stories of the summer. So well done them! They weren't great last night but still did themselves proud.
As for the final, come on Portugal! Fonte and Cedric innit... ;) -

yes well done iceland they were the exception,but just like the English we latch on to any little hope,,just like the Welsh story suddenly we are on their side and british just like Murray,but when hamilton wins he is English :s

Wales did enough to keep Portugal at bay in the first half. In the second half when they conceded the free kick, which was kind of dubious, the Portuguese kept ploughing away and from the corner, who else but Ronaldo to score.
Wales did not have the scoring prowess without Ramsey.
Overall, they had a great tournament as did Iceland.:D
