  I have just tried to watch Man Of Steel, I couldn't hack it. Like most Christopher Nolan movies they aare too deep & serious making them very boring. The only movie I enjoy is Inception.

  What I mean is Nolan's movies are way too serious in their tones. I thought comic book movies were supposed to be about fun and fantasy. 
  Why is it that when Marvel does fun and fantasy it is fine, but when DC tries, people shit on them?
  
  And what is wrong with liking Disney?

  First of all it is NOT a Christopher Nolan movie...so the whole thread is a fail. It's a Zack Snyder film, the dude who did 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch.
  Two very different people.

  Randy Marsh is right, Man of Steel, while serious and darker than supemans previous outings (and all the better for it in my opinion), its most definatly not a Nolan film. To my knowledge Nolans only foray to date into the superhero side of things was his fantastic Dark Knight trilogy (which i loved as well). After fluffy, light hearted superhero film after fluffy, light hearted superhero film, bringing out darker and grittier superhero films is a welcome change.

  ok, my bad on the director's(i am embarrased) but the fact is that i am not a fan of either Man of Steel or The Dark Knight trilogy. Tim Burton's Batman movies kept the dark and grittiness of TDK trilogy, but also kept the comic book fantasy aspect.
  I understand on Superman/MoS, but it is too brooding. The end line is Tim Burton's Batman and Richard Donner's Superman are my favourites.
