  Nothing more than a consolation, but after a miserable night City finally have something to (sort of) cheer as Alvaro Negredo pulls one back to make it 3-1.

  Most likely too little, too late, but City appear to have finally woken up. Jerome Boateng is shown a straight red after bringing down Yaya Toure when through on goal, then David Silva thunders the resulting free kick against the bar.

  CSKA Moscow 3-2 Viktoria Plzen
  
  Not a great night for the English sides then. City were completely outclassed and while a draw in Donetsk isn't disastrous for United, they really should have pushed on, extended their lead and put the game to bed. In the end their negative tactics let Shakhtar back in.
  
  Plenty of late goals elsewhere, particularly in Turin where after being 1-0 up at one stage, Galatasaray had to rely on a late equaliser from Umut Bulhut to pull it back to 2-2. No dramas for Real though, two each for Ronaldo and Di Maria saw them comfortably brush Copenhagen aside.

  You forgot to give City their goal Scotty, as that was pretty important as it gave my Bayern to win and BTTS double the win I needed :)
  
  I also stupidly had a go at Plzen beating CSKA and thought great when they went into the lead, then it all started to come apart...
  
  Never mind, I'm sure Swansea, Spurs and Wigan will give us entertainment tonight...

  It's about the only time I cheer for them is when I need them to score for me.... for Plzen, I actually put a lay on CSKA so a draw would have done me, put a fiver to win £5.50, so no real big stakes from me lol...
  
  Swansea and Wigan wins, but Spurs could struggle at Anzhi, I feel an acca coming on with a Spurs/Draw double chance as my pick there..

  Difficult with the Europa though isn't it? All depends on what sides the managers pick and how seriously they're taking it. And we assume Wigan can beat some team from Slovenia, but they could be a bloody good Slovenian team for all we know, and Wigan are in the Championship! Too many unknowns for me...
