  Didn't take Bayern long. They're 1-0 up at the Etihad thanks to a Franck Ribery goal from 25 yards. Joe Hart at fault again, he should have got to that.
  
  Also, it turns out Wayne Rooney has taken crack on the shin. It's swollen up and ruled him out of tonight's game. Will he be ready for the England qualifiers?

  CSKA Moscow were 3-2 winners against Plzen in the earlier kick-of by the way.
  
  And PSG have taken an early lead against Benfica in Paris. Other than the Bayern goal, no more to report.

  That'll settle United's nerves. Danny Welbeck has given them the lead in Donetsk, slotting it home from 6 yards out. Fellaini with the cross.

  Still Man City 0-1 Bayern but the home side are struggling against the European champions.
  
  PSG are making short work of Benfica, 3-0 to the French side now.
  
  And Roberto Mancini is having a great start to life as Galatasaray manager with Didier Drogba giving them the lead away at Juventus.
