  oh absolutely he is definitely not the same fighter, otherwise mir would not have beaten him the first time and certainly cain velasquez would not have beaten him so easily. but yea the guy is a legend and i love him that's why it's so frustrating to see him lose when he absolutely HAD that fight. all he had to do was listen to herb dean and not punch him to the back of the head but just wait a few secs, keep striking and it would have been a stoppage

  so who is following the whole thing with brock lesnar and alistair overeem - overeem failed to submit a urine sample on time and is blaming it on his assistant and now has/will be tested further for performance enhancing drugs so i think as of right now he does not have a 100% valid lisence or whatever to fight lesnar?
  
  is he a steroid user or was it all 'horse meat'? :)

  I read a bit about this last night. Overseem seems to be blaming the failure to provide a sample on the fact that his father is very ill and he has been at home. There was also a rumour that Mir had been lined up to replace him.
  
  It seems that GSP is out of the fight with Diaz as well due to injury and Conduit is to take his place.

  i think it will take something crazy to get in the way of the overeem lesnar fight - it has been hyped like crazy so i am sure the ufc will be as lenient as possible getting test results etc. i dont think mir will get his chance

  I'd definitely agree with that and hope it goes ahead. The only problem the UFC have is a serious credibility issue if they let a fight go ahead where only one of the fighters have done and passed the drug tests

  I like a bit of MMA here and there, UFC is excellent too. You should check out the warrior a film with Tom Hardy if you like UFC. Plenty of fights, bit of a predictable plotline. But its acceptable.

  yea i tryto watch mma movies just because i am a fan but usually they turn out like absolute shit lol, and randy couture is definitely not much of an actor no matter how good at mma he may be. i think the best mma film i have seen so far is never surrender or is it never back down - but it's about a guy who goes to a new school and the black guy from gladiator teaches him to fight

  ok well it looks like overeem vs brock lesnar is on after all, the drug stuff has been put behind them and now just getting ready for the fight, fight of the year many people are saying, but shogun/hendo would take some beating. go overeem!!

  i want alistair overeem to win because i have been a fan for a while, i am really curious to see how he will do against brock because he has not faced someone like that for a while for sure. REALLY hard to say who will win because no one knows for sure what kind of shape lesnar is really in imo.
  
  overeem is the favourite in this one. there are so many factors we don't really know. like how strong is overeem really. we know he's strong compared to werdum etc, but how will he do here.
  
  anyway i think overeem takes it.
