  You've got to live dangerously, if you want to win... 289 for 7, well it could have been worse.
  A nice century from Bell, thank goodness he did get it, otherwise, we'd be bowling by now?
  I don't think we'll last to lunch tomorrow, so we'll have to see what the English bowlers can get out of the pitch before making a final judgement.

  Well its 2am and a chap finds himself in his hotel room eating a Toblerone from the mini bar exhausted after a roller coaster of a day.
  
  28 for 3 itwas looking a bit iffy but as predicted the crims folded and the chaps won back the ground lost.
  
  However a chap can only drink so much Pimms and eventually a young man was despatched to source some brown ale.
  
  So to all you arm chair fans, as predicted the crims dont like it up em, and his fragrant majesty Briss showed them shandy drinking gaylords the way to the bar.
  
  Huzzah !!!

  Plenty of drama yesterday then.
  
  England got off to a disastrous start but pulled it back and were actually looking on top after tea.
  
  Then Bell, Bairstow and Prior fell in quick succession towards the end of play, leaving the test very much in the balance with England 289-7 at stumps.
  
  400 is looking about par on this pitch, do you think the tail end can pull them up to that sort of figure? And how will England's bowling attack fare against the Aussie batsmen?
  
  It's looking like another intriguing day at Lords.

  Plenty of drama indeed mate, and I can't see it changing today either...
  As I said yesterday, I can't see England lasting to lunch, Anderson is a rabbit with the bat so it's up to Bresnan, Broad and Swann and I think they'll be fortunate to add another 60 runs, so if they get 350, they should be happy, more than that, the Aussies could start to feel the pressure, and hopefully when they bat, a similar fate will befall them.
  
  It's another scorcher there too, so the bowlers won't want to be running for loads of singles knowing they will have to running in full pelt for their bowling attack.
  
  Another 30 or so minutes to wait to find out....

  Well I was right about Anderson, however he did last longer than Bresnan this morning, who having just got to the crease, found himself walking back to the pavilion.
  Broad and Swann had a more than useful partnership that has just been broken and that ends England's innings for 361 all out, with Ryan Harris taking 5 wickets for the Aussies.
  
  Last till lunch they did not, not even lasting to the drinks break, but 361 is a useful score, and gives their bowlers something to defend, and who knows, they could still come away with a first innings lead, if they get the ball to move off the seam.
  
  Another enthralling hour's play, 3 wickets before lunch please England!

  Pretty pleased with 361, you'd have certainly taken that at 28-3 yesterday morning.
  
  Lunch now and England took their first wicket just before the interval with Bresnan bowling Watson lbw for 30.
  
  Australia currently on 42-1, an interesting afternoon in store.

  A beautiful time to take a wicket on the stroke of lunch, but another terrible review by Watson (it seems they haven't learned their lessons still!), and as we saw in the last test, a review can make all the difference...
  
  Swann just takes Rogers lbw also, or should that be bbw? as Rogers completely misses a high full toss and it hits him in the groin area, and because Watson already wasted a review, he decides to walk off.
  
  Currently 52 for 2 in the 17th over, looking promising for England - let's see of that curses it!
