  As the title of the thread says, what is your favourite game for online play?
  PS3 or XBox or from both if you have both, i`m just curious what other gamers on here like to play online.
  
  Some of my favourites would be Resistance 2, love the fact that you have 30 people a side on team deathmatch,
  Resident Evil 5, i just keep going back to those games and just drop into a random game.

  I am a huge fan of halo online and a bit of CoD and battlefield are good. I like some racing games online, but I tire of them quickly. I love resi 5, do you play the versus game at all? I like it but find it hard to ever win!

  i mostly play on my ps3, dont think my 360 has been switched on since i got the ps3 if im honest, mostly playing battlefield 3 online at the moment, not tried the mw3 multiplayer or main game yet, but i did like the spec ops co op missions on there, found them easier than the ones on mw2 though

  Incredibly late reply here, but didn't realise that i hadn't already.
  But anyway no i've never played the versus mode, didn't even buy it, always seemed like a weird mode for a game where you can't move when you're shooting i'd imagine it's a bit awkward.

  i like playing pro evolution soccer online, even if everyone on there wants to be barcelona, its more of a challenge playing against human players than the AI opposition

  I`ve not played Pro evo online, but then i`ve not bought a pro evo game since the 2008 edition, switched over to Fifa mainly, although i have actually played a few games of Fifa online and that is pretty good to play, better than the AI opponents.

  people love to play that rubbish known as call of duty but the game i like playing online has to be fifa because of the banter that you can have with friends

  I don't think call of duty is rubbish it's a good game, and i used to play it online on modern warfare 2, but it just started to bug the hell out of me the amount of people camping and hiding out sniping, and some of the weapons in mw2 were really overpowered like the dual sawn off shotguns.

  Did anyone else ever play the last soul calibur online?
  I did and i don't reccomend it, not because the game doesn't work online because it does, it's just that there is clearly a hardcore group of gamers on that, that just seemingly only play that, and spend a round not letting you move or touch the ground again once they've knocked you into the air.

  An even later reply, appologies! Um yeah, the versus mode is a bit shit to be honest, but it's alright fun. I need someone good to help me win a few games on it. I think the reason First Person Shooters dominate the online gaming world is that while being hideously skillfull will give you an advantage, someone can always get the jump on you and get a kill. On fighting games this is seldom the case.
