You could earn £625 for taking part in Covid-19 drug trials

With the government saying that we might not be able to return to normal until a vaccine is found, medical labs have been working tirelessly to find a solution and develop a vaccine. Obviously those medical companies also want to land that billion pound contract that a Covid-19 vaccine would be worth so scientists have begun trials and they’re looking for willing volunteers to don’t mind being injected with a smidgen of the virus. 

 

The trial will take six months you’ll get £625 for taking part. The trial is limited to a small number of people so that scientists can monitor each person closely and assess whether vaccine safe and effective. Out of 1112 participants, 510 will receive the vaccine and they will have gave to return to the lap up to 11 times to see how it’s faring. 

 

So far the Imperial College London and the University Hospital Southampton are both looking for willing participants who are relatively healthy and between the ages of 18 and 55. So if you fancy offering yourself up in the name of science and being injected with fuck knows what to find a vaccine for a virus they still don’t know much about, put yourself forward for being a guinea pig. What could go wrong?!
