  Hey guys what are some of the worst remakes you have ever seen and wish you could forget? Or what are some films that are so bad that you are begging for them to remade 
  
  There are so many bad films out there to choose from 
  
  So list ur worst of the worst and reasons why they just didn't work

  I'd have to say that the Total Recall remake was pretty horrendous as was Robocop, TMNT and the Transformers Mark Walberg "reboot" somehow managed to be the worst of the recent franchise.

  Beat me to it about the Total Recall remake, there were so many things about the film that were awful, chief among them being Colin Farrell & his accent, the plot was nothing like the original

  The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is one of the biggest piles of remake shit out there.
  
  Turning Ilya Kuryakin into what was pretty much a rage filled psychopath has to be up there with one of the all time worst remake choices ever made.  And throwing in the sexy female spy who plays them both, but is really a goody smacks of an attempt to make it "updated".  Which always screws up remakes of things from the 60s.
  
  And the worst crime in the movie was not having David Macallum as Mr Waverly.

  There have been a few pointless remakes. One that stands out is Brick Mansions, if you haven't heard of that it's the entirely pointless and almost shot for shot remake of District 13. Only this time set in america, but other than replacing an actor with actual martial arts skills with Paul Walker  (which really killed the effectiveness of the fight scenes) it was basically the same film. Seriously even the opening parkour chase is practically identical.

  Funny how the Total Recall remake is one of the first that people come out with when discussing crappy, pointless remakes..and deservedly so lol. That man from uncle movie i couldnt even make it all the way through. Killed that piece of shit inside 30 minutes. Lets see, one that immediatly spirngs to mind after the outstanding night of the living dead remake and the pretty good dawn of the dead remake how the fuck did the rehashed day of the dead remake turn out to be such utter bollocks. Cant recall a tremendous amount apart from Mena Suarvi being in it as a soldier and the whole thing being abysmal.

  I did see the Total Recall remake as well, and it wasn't good. Honestly I can't even remember many details from that, other than the fact they totally wasted Bryan Cranston and they completely failed to give the viewer a single reason to actually give a crap about the lead character (and Kate Beckinsale's character basically being a terminator for no apparent reason).

  There are soo many to mention. However, Planet of The Apes does stand out as one of the worst
  
  Sometimes they do work such as The Departed, the American remake of Infernal Affairs.

  The Planet of the Apes remake was weird. While you can't accuse it of repeating everything from the original, what difference it did make was bizarre. There was the random use of time travel (i think) and that absolutely baffling ending with the apes being in charge of a modern city and the crazy villain being memorialised, which i assume was to try and get the same kind of shock as the original but it made no bloody sense (seriously if anyone can explain that i'd love to know).

  Oh shit, was that the Tim Burton one starring Mark Wahlberg and Helena Bonham Carter? Cant say a recall why i dislliked the movie but have never felt the need to ever watch it again..completely unmemorable (which generally aint a good sign). My biggest gripe with The Total Recall remake was not just the shocking performances and the altering of the originals story but it was the complete lack of humour. The humour was an integral part of what made the original so great and, as such, some prat decide it would a good idea to not have any in the remake. Yeah, that was a good move wasnt it lol.
