  The nominations for the world player (and coach) of the year have been announced. Who would be your top 3 from the nominees below?

  I would pretty much agree with that except for maybe one of Ozil or Lewandowski. I feel Arjen Robben or possibly Ribery could make the top 3 as they have had a good season for a Bayern Munich side that was probably the best team in Europe

  it's still messi first ronaldo second and very arguable who would be third (ribery, ozil, few others take you pick). it doesn't matter if ronaldo's season was a bit worse than usual or better, he's still definitely the second best footballer on the planet
  
  can you imagine for messi tho - FIVE fukkin times world player of the year it would be

  Messi is unreal! I dont think we will ever see another talent like that. I do feel sorry for Ronaldo though. He is an excellent footballer as well but unfortunately Messi happens to be in the same generation so Ronaldo doesnt quite make that number 1 spot, when he has the ability to, if it wasnt for messi lol.

  Messi is naturally gifted and there is no doubt he is number 1 for that but as a conditioned athletic footballer there is nobody on Ronaldos level. They have equal amount of impact on a game too.

  Top 3 players for me are Messi, Ronaldo and Bale. Obvious, but that doesn't make it any less true in my book.
  
  For the coaches, Heynckes, Klopp and Ferguson maybe? No real stand-outs beyond the first 2 though really.

  i wouldn't put bale into number 3 so easily tho. yes he is outstanding and out of all other likely candidates like ribery and robben, bale plays for the worst club so his impact is more impressive, but still not as obvious as the top 2 for me
  
  ronaldo is an amazing player but i think messi is that much more impressive. a true reflection of the awesomeness of football, cuz he probably couldn't be good at any other sport, it's pure talent whereas ronaldo's athleticism could probably see him do well in some other sport
