  another hat trick, this time to kiwi boult. even vs oz, good on him.  boult got a hat  trick, faced and survived a hat trick. once Williamson was out, game was virtually over- gee he's a good bat.  interesting day for smith- out to a blinder of a catch, got a wicket 1st ball, took a brilliant catch himself-- got no runs but plenty of boos. yawn. grow up crowd.

  2 impressive acts by pommy batsmen today. roy was out to lowdown catch on boundary, hard to tell if out or not. roy took fieldsmans word and without demonstration or demanding a replay, simply walked off. when Bairstow got his 100, didn't leap in air or run around with arms aloft, just raised his bat  and gave thumbs up.  good stuff . hope no aussie reads this- i'll be deported

  Bairstow is a miserable bastard and lucky you even saw a thumbs up from him. Don't expect England to do much more in this tournament as they blew it after Pakistan for me.

  that's very negative peter. poms have a good chance of winning. just beaten india easily.  all the top sides have had at least 1 bad day.  oz thrashed by india-poms beaten by oz-poms beat india-oz thrash kiwis..................whoever makes it to semis, then clicks in last 2 games will win.

  I still think yesterday was more down to India wanting to derail Pakistan's hopes than England playing well. Personally, don't think they will beat NZ and with a potential rematch with India away from home at Edgbaston, England peaked too early for me.

  that miserable bastard did it again.  if I were you, wouldn't care if he never smiled again, as long as he keeps batting so well. he and roy looking good opening. poms in box seat.  but as long as Williamson is still in, kiwis have a chance

  One six in the entire match, once again England look like they are on for a score of 400 then just drop off dramatically in the second half of their innings.
  
  I hear there's a campaign to get the final on free to air tv if England make it that far, after all nearly 12 million watched the ladies football semi-final last night, it would be a travesty if the cricket final only had a couple hundred thousand viewers because it is stuck on Sky. Like when BT put the champions league final on for free, these things need to be seen.

  kiwis in final... good on them. held their nerve and beat india, who appeared to fold under pressure. good to see a game where it wasn't just runs runs runs.   Williamson took 2 catches off shots that were hit very high, no panic.  gee they keep their cool. who will they play? aussies or poms.
