womens world cup

how refreshing to watch the womens world cup. no 'look at me' haircuts, excessive tatts, pointing at teammates-'it wasn't my fault ', arguing with refs, acting, diving, falling down as if shot when touched. only the yank girls match the men with over the top goal celebrations----'me me me i'm fabulous'. -

Are ladyboys allowed to play in the Thailand team? Were there any? -

didn't look that closely. if there were, they weren't any good. [ insert own joke about ladyboys not being able to control bouncing balls] . anyway, they're probably more manly than some of the wimps playing in mens teams -

you know me steve- I don.t gloat. as long as they have a fair dinkum crack , enjoy themselves and don't carry on like spoilt brats, it doesn't overly fuss me win lose or draw. i'll barrack for them, hope they win, if not, so be it. it's only a game. go matildas -

Scotland 3-0 up, finishes 3-3, scots eliminated. might sound harsh, but they blew it. decisions went against them, should never have got to that stage. technically correct decisions- but too technical. but like cricket replays now- either out or not, millimetres = kilometres. machines have no feelings. -

Scotland dominated up until 72 mins in the 2nd half and was cruising but then let it slip. I still think a toe got to the ball but not enough evidence to prove it, plus the time taken to use VAR was over 4 mins and should have been added to the game from the restart. I've never liked the 'goalie can't come off the line rule' if they said they can come to a certain point I'm ok with but the line is a joke for me. The referee was out of her depth for me and been a tournament littered by bad officials, VAR and poor rules. -

it's happened again! this time Cameroon beat n.z. with last kick of the game, 10 secs left, thus qualifying. maybe I misheard, but the girl that scored for Canada kicked her 182nd goal for her country. that;s got to be a record -

Christine Sinclair is the player in question, she has made over 280 appearances and in truth, Canada plays more Internationals as play in CONCACAF, Olympics and other tournaments to play that many. Watched her against England in Warm up game and was brilliant. On the tournament itself, I see a France/US v Netherlands final - though Canada an Germany may have something to say in the Dutch side of the draw. -

poms are through to quarters by beating Cameroon, who didn't cover themselves with glory the way they carried on . only defence for them is they don't understand var. goals being allowed, then disallowed- vice versa. var is not working too well- just trust the officials on the ground.
