We all know the Japanese are an eccentric bunch - from donut heads to poo museums. They embrace the downright bizarre and let their freak flags fly. Let us take a look at the weirdest things you will only ever see in Japan. It really makes me want to fly to Japan!

The snaggle tooth
Straight teeth are so last season! Young Japanese girls are becoming increasingly interested in uneven or "snaggle" teeth, known in Japanese as yaeba.


The Lap Pillow
The Hizamakura, priced at around £50 is a life-size pillow in the shape of woman's hip and legs and is apparently one of popular items for the Christmas and year-end parties.


Kancho - Sticking your finger in someone's ass
"Kancho," is a common prank often played by Japanese school kids. It is performed by someone clasping their hands together into the shape of a gun, then poking passersby in the butt while shouting "kancho!" Yup, totally normal thing to do!



Adults get adopted in Japan
98% of adoptions in Japan are men between the ages of 20 and 30. The reason being - if the owner of a family business doesn’t have a son to keep the family name alive, an appropriate heir is adopted into the family.

Gotta say im liking the sound of that fast food place at the end of the vid. Any chance of branches being opened here in the uk? Trouble is it would take me forever to order, you know, nothing distracting me and and that. That toilet exhibit did make me chuckle though. Somewhere to go when you are pissed, have a sing along with the singing toilet orchestra lol.

Ha, I can only imagine the boozed up Brits harassing and groping the girls if one was to open up here. Not you obviously, but you know there would be a group of students thinking they're in with a chance and getting all handsy.

I remember when I went japan and vending machines are absolutely everywhere in Japan and they are actually useful because they have everything in there. As for that fast food place you'd deffo need security as dudes would always be taking trying their chances

Spot on there ReedeFox..im a perfect gent after all lol. Nah, wouldn dare get all hands on but thats not to say that afer standing at the counter for an extortionate length of time, when asked for the 100th time if i was ready to order i wouldnt simpy reply, in te style and voice of that particular David Walliams character from Little Britain " Give it a minute" haha.
