TRANSFER RUMOURS! 24th April

It probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that despite being sans manager, Man Utd are still cracking on with their summer recruitment plans. If you assume that David Moyes was a hindrance rather than a help when it came to winning football matches, then it's not too much of a stretch to imagine him stinking out transfer negotiations as well. At the very least, the thought of actually playing for him must have been enough to give some players second thoughts. Not Luke Shaw though. Word is that his £30m move was pretty much done and dusted prior to the sacking. Couldn't have anything to do with the fact they're offering him a 5 year deal worth £100k a week, could it? Edinson Cavani's on the radar too, though he'll cost a whopping £60m.
On reflection, Danny Welbeck probably regrets making noises about wanting to leave now. Too late son, Everton are interested, and they fancy Tom Cleverly as a long-term replacement for Leon Osman too. Juventus, meanwhile, will sell Paul Pogba to PSG and use the cash to bid for Robin van Persie and Nani.
Barcelona have appealed against their transfer ban, which means it's been suspended! That should give them enough time to make bids for Jan Vertonghen and David Luiz, and even sell Cristian Tello to Liverpool for £8m if they're so inclined.
It's a good job Southampton have got such a good youth team, because that's all they'll have left next season if the papers are to be believed. Arsenal want Callum Chambers and Everton are after Jack Cork. Just need Liverpool to start making noises about Guly and we'll have a full set.
Some heavy linking coming Newcastle's way... Diego Capel, Emmanuel Riviere, Filip Djuricic, and only one of them is French, imagine! They won't be happy about rumours of Tim Krul heading to Tottenham though, but what goes around comes around and all that; Sandro might be off to Arsenal.
Which is more than can be said of Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter. Dortmund for him.
