  It's the most wonderful time of the year...
  
  Or at least it will be if Southampton sign a striker, some top-level competition for Fonte and van Dijk at the back and, if i'm being greedy, a new defensive midfielder.
  
  Read this morning that a new back-up right back, and Cuco Martina to Everton might be the extent of our business today though.  When you consider that we're still about £15m in profit on this summer's deals, that would be shite.
  
  What's everyone else hoping for on this most magical of days?

  I am hoping for a striker in at the best club on the South Coast Brighton and Hove Albion and hope one of our crucial midfielders stays put. He has put in a transfer request and we have rejected a 6th bid from Burnley for him. But hope we can hang on till 11pm for him. Maybe a couple more deals in or out but think the striker is the most essential but we can't out spend the big 3 in the Championship Aston Villa, Newcastle and Norwich, but our chairman has pumped £200m+ on the ground, training ground and playing staff! So us Seagulls trust him as he is a born and bred fan his grandfather and uncle have been on our board previously so no johnny come lately money man.

  Can't believe Chelsea went and bought back David Luiz!!! that's a bit of a shocker for me I must say, I wonder if conte may try a back 3 like he done with Italy as Luiz has got that flexibility to work in that type of formation

  Dale Stephens Scotty think his agent is doing a bit of cage rattling trying to get his wedge, but he is playing with the wrong guy Tony Bloom is a pro poker player affectionately known as the Lizard because of his cold bloodedness when playing at tournaments. So a man not to be taken lightly!

  On this most magical day I'm hoping for Kandie Kay,Louise Redknapp,Alesha Dixon and Abigal Mac to boost our attacking options fuck defence :P

  yeh i thought it was strange Chelsea went back in for David Luiz, his medical according to sky is scheduled for 6pm

  Well what an anti climax for Brighton no ins and no outs god forbid we get an injury to one of our three main strikers, now no loan windows have to wait for January if we need a striker hope we are in a strong position in the league by then, say top 3 and we finish as strongly as last year and our goal difference at the very least takes us up to The Premier League but obviously would like enough points to go up automatically.
