  Shay Given will not be joining Liverpool on loan from Aston Villa.
  
  Hull have agreed a club record fee in the region of £5m for West Brom striker Shane Long. He is undergoing a medical at the moment but any deal is subject to the Albion adding Stephane Sessegnon or Victor Anichebe.

  i think both of them need a striker badly and he'd do really well for both. i think if ba were to leave chelsea it would only be on a permanent deal not a loan.

  It's got to be one or the other though, both would leave them short up-front.
  
  Think I got my wires crossed with Fernando btw, the work permit's approved and the deal could still be on.

  yeah it ill only be one of them tha will be going, they couldn't let both go unless someone was coming in. what you think of the mata psg story, any truth in that.

  With Ozil going for €50m that would have paid for Bale, mental. United aren't having much luck are they? All very amateur from them. Apparently the €36m for Herrera is now €42m as they forgot about some tax or other...
  
  I don't reckon they'll get anyone.

  It's a big one to leave so late. Not sure tbh, got a feeling Mourinho wants to keep him, despite the fact he's barely played.

  If Lukaku goes it will be to Everton, not West Brom. Guessing Chelsea want him to get some experience at the business end of the table.
  
  Harry Redknapp is hopeful of taking Spurs' Tom Carroll on loan, and is apparently in for 2 or 3 more as well. Standard.
