Assuming we’ve got a three-horse title race on our hands, that leaves four teams to battle it out for fourth spot. Who’s going to make it?
As it stands...
Liverpool 8/13
Only 2 points clear of Everton, but it’s the 7-point gap to Man Utd that sees the odds come in so short. No European football to distract them and if Suarez and Sturridge can stay fit and in-form for the next 14 games, there’s no reason why they can’t do it. It really does all depend on them though.
4th? Probably
Man Utd 7/2
They’ll need to put together quite a run to make up the gap to Liverpool, but they’ve lost a third of their games this season and only won half of them. Can anyone actually see their form improving enough, and in time to catch them? Historically they’ve tended to finish seasons strongly, but unfortunately Fergie is history…

Tottenham 7/2
They’ve got a 4 point start on United and I reckon they’ll finish above them. Whether or not they can catch the Scousers is another matter though, the 3-point gap may as well be 4 when goal difference is taken in to consideration. And does Tim Sherwood seem like the sort of chap who'll get you Champions League? Actually?

Everton 5/1
They’re above Man Utd and Spurs, and have been far more consistent than either of them so far. Of course, they haven’t got as much money as everyone else, and haven’t finished 4th for about 10 years. But who knows though? Maybe Moyes was holding them back? 5/1 looks decent value and worth a few of anyone’s quids.

I've still got to think United will get 4th, They've been terrible all season but still have a chance at 4th place, so when they actually start playing well, surely they've got enough experienced players to get them there. -

I think the table as it stands will pretty much look like that at the end, maybe Everton and Spurs swop places, but Liverpool for 4th unless we see the mother of all collapses (fingers crossed not) and can't see Man Utd doing much either, their state of bewilderment looks set to continue. -

Im a spurs fan...and im not confident. however a win against everton on saturday will prove a massive step and in for a chance. as long as vertonghen comes back and hits form we shouldnt keep getting demolished by the big teams.
man utd i hate to death, but i can see them coming in last day of the season and RVP hitting top form for the remainder of the season now! -

Despite the optimism amongst man united fans after signing Mata, I still dont think its enough to get to 4th. It showed last weekend when they lost to stoke whilst fielding the likes of RVP, rooney, mata etc. I think Everton and Spurs will push Liverpool close. Ultimately, it's Liverpools to lose, especially considering their vastly superior goal difference which is worth like an extra point. -

I don't rate Sherwood. Martinez is great but I don't think Everton will maintain their form, Moyes was left with an awful team but is now starting to pick up the pace (kind of), but Liverpool have an awesome goal difference and just destroyed arsenal so they'd be my pick -

If anyone was listening to 606 on BBC Radio 5Live, they were asking listeners who would be in their top 4 and surprisingly, a few people went for liverpool as 3rd and arsenal as 4th lol. I think it was probably an over the top reaction after today's game or its the inevitable february/march crash. -

With Liverpool having put 4 past Everton last week and 5 past Arsenal yesterday at home, and Chelsea, Man C and Tottenham yet to come to Anfield......id say 3rd place wasnt an unrealistic prospect for Liverpool. Arsenal did not strengthen over the transfer window, when their squad was crying out for an alternative (quality) to Giroud, so them slipping down the table also isnt unrealistic in my eyes. If they lose to United this week, I can see Chelsea and City pulling away from them and Liverpool getting involved in a 3rd/4th place battle with them. Cant write off Everton's consistency Or United's quality, but id go for the current top 4 getting the 4 Champs League spots -

Apparently Liverpool's title odds halved during the course of that game yesterday.
3rd will depend on the extent of Arsenal's Feb/March collapse though I guess. I reckon they'll fall away, but maybe not as catastrophically as in previous seasons. The united game midweek will be interesting, see how they respond and all that...
