  Started a thread on a similar idea in the music section, thought it would be interesting to do one like it on this one (i`m curious which games will be mentioned the most, and i checked no thread like this in the gaming section) any age or console.
  Mine would be in no particular order (some in my list are quite old)
  
  Metal Gear Solid
  God of War 3
  Fallout 3
  Uncharted 2(not played the 3rd one yet or it could have been that one)
  Abes Oddessy
  Abes Exodus
  Batman Arkham City
  Age of Empires
  Hogs of War
  Bioshock

  I mainly play sport games but will complete this without them, with exception of racing and one series of games that I think is exceptional, as I think they are only choices if you have a preference for that sport and some of these are OLD and are from memories I have of playing them lol
  
  Grand Theft Auto 3
  Gran Turismo 4
  Fantasy World Dizzy
  Super Mario Kart
  Midnight Resistance
  Chaos Engine
  Anything Madden
  Bubble Bobble
  Hudson Hawk (the game was tons better than the film lol)
  The Repton series of games, I would be amazed if many have even heard of them as it shows my age!

  Wolfman i notice a lot of your list is older games, and to be totally honest i haven't heard of most of them (especially that last one) Although i would say that my list changes a little depending on whether i get any new games that i really like or not.

  Yeah I totally understand mate, to be honest I don't have any of the newer generation of consoles as I have never had the spare moolah to get them so I rely on my old ones, which do me fine enough :-)

  well my list is definitely old for the most part as well because i haven't played any games at all for a couple of years and still not many before then
  
  starcraft
  age of empires 2
  command and conquer
  quake (1, 2, 3), was the best shooter back in the day, oh and team fortress based on quake 1 (ADSL lines had barely come out back then lol!!)
  deus ex
  final fantasy 8
  heroes of might and magic series
  counterstrike/half life
  max payne
  grand theft auto 2,3
  
  that's probably not the real top 10 haven't given it that much thought, but all games on there were really good though

  Baldur's Gate
  Need for Speed 3 (Hot Pursuit)
  Mass Effect
  Star Wars The Old Republic
  Fantasy Island Dizzy
  Command & Conquer Generals
  Diablo III
  Batman Archam City
  Sonic 1 on the master system (not the megadrive)
  Tomb Raider 2 (PC, not PSOne)
