  Reading through this thread is a great source of information duke I for one didn't realiise all the different options you have available on the forum For one I have only recently learnt that you can rate your own video's I thought it was only viewers who could rate them!

  That is why I created this thread Tony as you are left to your own devices on here to work out how things are done. There is no help page to guide new users of the site. It took me years to learn what I know now which is why I thought it would be good to pass on tips to bring new people up to speed much more quickly than me.

  Hi duke can I trouble you to tell me a bit more about how to enter your star rating for a video. I have been trying to enter a rating of 5 stars and it only registers a rating of 3 etc. also could you please explain where I can find the green button you have talked about Many thanks

  Tony, that's because when you click on any number of stars it adds yours to the total and averages it with all the other votes. If there are only a few votes, yours can move it considerably, but if there are many many votes, yours won't move it far if at all. So if a video shows two stars and you enter five, it could move up to four or stay pretty much the same, depending on how many people have voted to get to the average of two.

  Ive been trying to rate threads and give a reputation via the ☝️+ button on a post,and nothing happens. Anyone know why. Thanks

  I think there has been some misinformation about rep giving. The pink + button is for copying a post to quote it in a multi-quote reply, it is nothing to do with reps. To add rep you have to click the green number in the user stats, where it says reputation. Then the screen it takes you to has a pink button saying "rate user" and this is how you add it, along with a comment if wanted.

  Ah steve The green lottery button Beware I was stupid enough to click on it expecting to find out what it was Well it removed 30 of my credits with no explanation whatsoever and I appear to be the owner of some lottery ticket for what I have no idea- for when I have no idea- I do know that I get more tickets for posting on the forum So I can only assume its for some sort of prize Certainly wont be trying it out again
