  Wow. There seem to be an awful lot of points to cover but I will try to deal with them one at a time. Firstly, rating a thread.
  
  When you have the list of threads in front of you, say on page 1, you can hover your cursor over the number of stars you want to give and click on it. This will give your vote and add it to those already given in the same way that it does for a video rating.
  
  Amazingly, I found that the Amy thread had zero stars so I have just given it 5 stars myself. You cannot vote for a thread that you have created yourself and you cannot vote a second time for the same thread.

  Secondly, many thanks to parkaner who has corrected a mistake I made earlier on in this thread regarding how to add to someone's reputation. He gives the correct method in his explanation of how to do it.

  Thirdly, you do not get any lottery tickets for posts as far as I am aware. I have made many posts but got no tickets for them. 
  
  Tickets are given based upon how much you spend. So when your VIP renews or you spend credits on a phone call or pervcam, tickets are allocated automatically. A draw seems to be made every month with a prize of a bundle of credits to be added to you account. I got a message telling me who had won it last month. It was none of us. Lol.

  I assume that clicking on the lottery button buys you a ticket which is why your credits went down. However, this is not explained clearly anywhere, so taking credits instantly from you for just having a look seems very unfair to me.

  Tony over the last few days Ive clicked onthe lottery 3 times I think and it just directed me the channels page. Ive checked my account statement and no credits have been taken off me but noticed I have some tickets for what and when? Will just wait and see what happens I suppose.

  The strange thing about RTV and thai chat  is that there is no welcome anywhere as far as i can make out There are no instructions anywhere on how to use the site and if was not for people like duke and derry I would continue muddling through the site not knowing a lot about  it Must be a real put off for a lot of visitors

  Yes I created the tips thread for that very reason. It seemed that a lot of new people were confused about how things worked and so was I when I first joined. Even now, I am still getting things wrong but when others correct me, I am grateful for having learnt something new from them.

  When I first started to post in the forum, I used to always click on the pink Reply button below someone's post without realising that you do not get any points for your post doing that. I was writing some really long posts but could not understand why my points remained on zero.
  
  Even when I asked for help the explanations given were not very clear and I continued to muddle on for a few months until I finally twigged myself what I should be doing. Another reason why I want to help newbies so they do not have to struggle with things for as long as I had to.

  I'm not sure this is the right place to put this but I Love thai chat and really enjoy reading as many of the treads as I can and of course responding with my thoughts - I just want to thank those who have contributed to my reputation it is very much appreciated
