  I cant believe no one has started a thread on this (myself included). The mighty, the unflinching This Is England. This is most likely a stupid question but is anyone else here a fan? Personally i loved the film that sparked things and both subsequent tv spin offs / follow ups, This is England '86 and '88. Have been aware for a while that This Is England'90 was going to be next (and possibly last..sob). Channel 4 has now released the first teaser trailer for this and for one, i cant wait. Im gonna resist rewatching all previous instalments until just before this starts and then am gonna watch the whole bleedin lot. Love it.

  Loved the film..
  The series' just went downhill as each new one came out. Thats my opinion.

  This is england'90 has not been broadcast yet. All we are getting is coming soon (channel 4..teasing bastards lol). I have not watched Humans. Have seen the good press it has received. Im consious of the fact that the series is at an end this weekend. May have to download it if curiosity gets the better of me. The film was the best, Jose Mourinho. A shame that you was not overly impressed with '86 and '88. Will be interesting to see what the show does with switch from the 80's to the early days of Rave music.

  Finally, the air date and time has been announced when This Is England '90. The four part mini series / follow up to previous installments starts on Sunday 13th September at 9pm. Cant wait. Should give me just enough time to rewatch all the previous entries in the series.

  Have made a start on my This is England refresher this evening with the original feature film that spawned the mini series additions. Its been a fair while since watching the film..and its still just as brilliant as it ever was. A masterpiece of cinema and without a dubt one of my favourite films. A real power house of a film. Have only got a few days now to get through t i e '86 and '88 before '90 starts on sunday.

  Had incredibly high hopes for this. I eally wanted the first installment of This Is England '90 to really be something special..but in my opinion it wasnt fantastic. I know the first installment traditionally has been of a lighter tone with the grit to follow but despite a proper nostalgic soundtrack, the episodeleft me wanting. Heres hoping episode 2 up's the series game.

  Episode two of this was a bit of a mixed bag. It did get ever so slightly darker but the contrac=st between that and woody / lol having a bbq didnt really work for me. Then, last week, episode 3 aired and holy shit, that was more like it. OMFG that whole scene around the dinner table with lol, woody, Shaun, Kelly, Milky etc with the revelation's / confessions. Really gripping stuff, my eyes and ears were glued. THAT WAS MORE LIKE IT. Just 1 episode to go now though and then supposedly no more This Is England ever again..yeah right, its gonna return (all the cast have stated if another follow up was to be made they would be there in a heartbeat).

  It may be almost a week on but its still fresh in my mind. What an awesome end that was to, certainly This is England '90 and, if Shane Meadows is to be believed, the This Is England tale / saga as a whole, what a way to finish. A proper mixed bag of an episode, never boring, changing constantly between the humour and the dark / gritty. It blended them together perfectly. Im definatly hoping for more series though and Meadows has certainly left things wide open, especially as regards the fate of one particular character whose tale simply cant be left like that.

  I havent even started watching this yet. I mean i have plans to but i just have lots of other stuff aswell :P Would be nice if Combo was in it anyway :) I guess ill eventually see anyway ;)
