  You might have thought that Roberto Mancini had taken his Man City sacking with good grace. Not so, he wants to strengthen their fiercest rivals by taking Antonio Valencia away from Old Trafford, and he’ll pay them £12.5m! I see what’s going on here. He’ll be making £20m bids for Bebe next.
  
  United could well do with the cash. They’re after Marseille midfielder Remy Cabellla but the French club value him at £100m, which seems a tad ambitious really. David Moyes has also got his eye on Derby’s Will Hughes and Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan, but will face completion from Arsenal and Real Madrid for the latter.
  
  The Gunners could be set for a busy January if the rumours are to be believed (which they probably aren’t). Saido Berahino, Fernando Llorente, Javier Pastore and ‘£2m bargain buy Michu’ are all on the radar too. The Swansea striker will cost £30m though, not such a snip now, is he?
  
  Liverpool are keen on Michu too, and Pastore. And Nemanja Matic. Martin Skrtel could be headed back to Zenit though.
  
  Here’s Bobby Manc again! He’s helping Chelsea out this time, letting them have Buruk Yilmaz and taking Demba Ba off their hands while he’s at it, #swapdeal. There’s also talk of the Blues going for Schalke’s Julian Draxler, but they’ll need to make sure Real Madrid don’t wander off with Ramires while they’re distracted.
  
  Mohamed Salah and Keisuke Honda could be headed to White Hart Lane, Spurs being so short of midfield options and all…
  
  Newcastle have been scouring the substitute benches of Manchester, they quite like the look of Micah Richards and Wilfried Zaha.
  
  And Manuel Pellegrini could return to Malaga with a bid for Willy Caballero. Well he needs to do something to thwart Mancini, and a decent keeper seems as good a place as any to start.

  i think your being very harsh on valencia, he's been quality the last few seasons and has had a dip in form so far this one. remember he's playing in a team that's underperforming.

  I don't think he was up to much last season either.

  he was a regular in a championship winning side and was solid all season. pastre for liverpool would be a brilliant signing, but i can't see them being able to afford him.

  Can't imagine why PSG would want to let him go either.
  
  Sounds like a load of bollocks to me, more so than usual.

  For the Valencia offer to even be considered he needs to try somebody else on that flank. I am unsure why zaha is not getting at least a crack at it. very strange.

  zaha isn't playing because he isn't very good plain and simple. there is a huge difference in playing in the championship and the premier league. his tricks don't work, he doesn't defend and makes poor decisions.

  I don't think it's necessarily the gap between Championship and Premier, more the gap between Championship and being ready for the Utd first team.
  
  He needs to get out on loan in January. I reckon he'd do well at somewhere like Newcastle.
  
  Still young as well, plenty of time to improve.

  i just think he is very overrated. he is a quick player with a trick and the full backs cleary aren't as good so it makes him look better. if he wasn't english man utd wouldn't have signed him and he wouldn't have cost half as much.

  You could well be right, but he needs a chance to prove himself at this level.
