The Light Between Oceans

Was half expecting to scrape the bootom of he preverbial barrel with this one. 2 films on the laptop, both lovey dovey drama's on the face of it..the fam plumped for 'The light between oceans'. Wasnt expecting to enjoy the film but, in actuality, its a pretty decent film. Starring Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander the film tells the story of A lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of Western Australia who raise a baby they rescue from an adrift rowboat. Trying to keep it relativly spoiler free so have jst posted the one line synopsis you can read anywhere. Granted it takes a little while to find its feet, in the erly goings we were gearing up to shut the film off. Fortunatly the film went from strength to strength, with a few emotive scenes , especially towards the tail end of the film that almost had the female members of my family in tears. A solid romantic drama, not with out a hefty dose of peril (its not all lovey dovey by any means). My not be to everyones taste but have got to say i found it suprisingly watchable.
